    Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her...

You beat her. But would you die for her? Willingly? Innocently?

I haven't seen anything on this forum denouncing loving one's wife. What kind of monsters do you take us for? The reason we lay Godly beatings on our wives and children is because we love them, just as Christ loves us.

I'm guessing that this troll has never even cracked a Bible open.

Here's the thing though, when we are disobedient to Jesus, He punishes us. Jesus is even willing to send us to hell for all time if we continue to disobey Him. That's how Jesus loves us, and that's how men should love their wives.

Hmm, since in this case the "versions" or "authorized (but-not-a-version)" make exactly the same point - semantics. The better word for this tactic is "aversion".

"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it..."

Be like Christ. Christ gave his life in love. God said give yourself for your wife even as Christ. Die! For her!

Hmm. No one here is willing to lay down his life for his wife. No one here is willing to do what God commands.

By now you're probably thinking "Don't confuse me with the facts". That's alright. I'm done. I won't be back. I already know you will delete this thread. Delete my account as well.

Aversion. Avoidance. Distraction. Non-compliance. Failure. This thread reveals you.

Yeah but without the so called ''godly beatings''. I would never raise a hand to a women unless shes trying to kill me or a similar situation of that magnitude is happening.
