The charming Miss angels arrived in Godly North Carolina from Godless England yesterday, just in time to attend church with my family. As far as the Good Lord is concerned, jet lag is no excuse for missing church. After the service we had a picnic, and she was able to meet alot of real Christian Baptists, unlike the phony ones they have in England.
Sunday afternoon, she and my sister, Connie, baked pies. Angels did a magnificant job!! Her pie is outstanding.
Even though I complimented her biscuits and gravy, she told me that wasn't her specialty. She said after the wedding, I could sample her English Muffins.
Praise Jesus!I took her fishing this morning after she fixed my outboard motor( it's running great). For a beginner at fishing, she did a pretty good job. She caught three keeper flounder, and only lost one good anchor. Now she understands the importance of tying a rope to it BEFORE you throw it overboard. She also managed to catch a 165 pound Johnny, but I was able to get the hook out my arm in a couple of minutes. These things, they happen.
Right now, Connie is showing her how to make hush puppy batter. Of course, I'll fry the fish and hush puppies. Those are manly duties.
God Bless,
