    Being a Good Christian Wife

At the age of 25 I feel I am not doing the Lord's work by being unmarried and childless.

I am good in the kitchen and love making bread and jams and I keep a clean house.

What are the requirements for a 25 year old woman to find a husband?
    Jude 1:24-25

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

The best qualities from a True Christian perspective (how do I make the trademark symbol?), for a woman, would be good at cleaning, cooking, and raising children (from a True Christian standpoint of course).

I'm going to be single very soon again, but I don't live in Canada .

While outside beauty is not a requirement for a healthy marriage, putting some effort into making yourself a good 'catch' is going to improve your odds. Just don't put so much makeup on that you look like a tramp.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

You need to be Saved(c) if you want to find a True Christian(tm) Husband to subjectify you, as the Bible commands. Unsaved females aren't worth a bucket of spit in God's Kingdom. They flap their pie hole too much, for one thing.

        1 Timothy 2:11-15
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.

Is there a specific dress code a good Christian wife should comply with?

As a matter of fact, there is.

1Tim 2:9-10 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Modest apparel, shamefacedness, sobriety, and good works.

Speaking of modest apparel, Modest Apparel USA has a great selection of appropriate clothes for a good Christian woman. Doreen has ordered outfits from them and she is very happy with them.

That's not much to ask at all. I ask obedience, love, devotion from my wife, and an unwaivering discipline to be instilled in my daughter.

Her cooking is just a bonus.

To all the women on this forum, I pray you find a man to guide you and help you provide the world with many soldiers of Christ.

                            Dear,
I know you feel a bit lost and aimless without a True Christian(TM) husband to fulfill you and give you lots of babies. The path to finding a husband can be a bit different for each girl. For instance, I was unsaved when I met our dear Dr. Wierdsbe, and in a quite unsavory line of work. I blush to think of it today! But through the internet, Dr. Wierdsbe found me, contacted me, and counseled me one-on-one until I knew Jesus! I fell in love with the poor dear right on the spot, he was so obviously still mourning his wife of so many years, Esther.

Well we decided to marry right away, and my mom and dad were so happy that I had found a true Godly man to marry (even though there was quite an age difference, they were just glad I was going to be respectable). So my experience would be different from yours.

Of course, you must also let your prospective husband know (somehow) that he'll be pleased in every room of your home together, not just the kitchen, if you know what I mean. Please PM me and I can give you some tips about that, from my experience.

                            Mary Therese

And of course when Therese came home and introduced Warren to Mom, Dad, and me, he was so amazing that I instantly fell in love with him too! But he wouldn't even talk to me about love until I became a Christian! So I did, and here we all are, so very happy!

If I were a single girl and Christian, trying to find a husband, my first thing would be what you already have, be good in the kitchen and keep a very clean house for your mother. Then go to every church social or Bible study, and especially go to all the revivals and Bible classes you can. The most dedicated Christian men attend these, especially on the book of Revelation!

I agree with Therese about the other, too. We'll be glad to counsel you and any other ladies either looking for a husband or for ways to please the husband you have even better. We do have fun!

                            Mary Claire

Imzadil, what you call ugly, I call appropriate. You obviously wish your wife to dress like a street whore. A good Christian knows never to look upon his neighbours' wife with lust, to covet her. You obviously wish your wife to dress in a way that will incite this.
