I hope i do find a good woman, and i hope that i will love her enough to not ever lay a hand on her, as i believe (whether you do or not), that men and women are equal. Perhaps God did not mean it to be that way, but through the centuries they have balanced out, and now there are probably just as many cases of domestic violence from woman to man, as there are visa versa.
What right have we to lay a hand on another Christian human being? Should we not instead turn our focus to those of faux-religions? What use is it hitting each other? We should be spreading the word of god, not the mark of our fists.

Yes, you should have listened. It was a little more than the difference between right and wrong. Whilst Adam and Eve were in Eden, they were immortal, they were "as God". The tree of the Fruit of Knowledge reduced the pair to mortals and all that mortals suffer in this world. Only with the temporary death of Christ was mankind given the opportunity to live in Heaven for eternity. The only way that this could be accomplished was to accept Christ as your Savior.

The only way to accept Christ is via the Bible (KJV1611 only). You must follow all the commands and advice therein and accept Christ into your heart. Then, and only then, will you be Saved.

If you accept the whole unadulterated word of God, you accept that the advice as far as women is concerned, is correct. Get yourself a good woman and it may be that she does not require beating other than occasionally - get a bad one, and as divorce is not simple in the eyes of God, you may have to train her somewhat more rigorously.

Now that's it in a nutshell - the detail is somewhat longer.

And perhaps that is the message. Because there is no mention of Adam disciplining his wife, I can only assume it didn't happen. However, this was the first time God verbalized his disdain for women...

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Is it just a coincidence that one of the first laws God ever made was that a woman would submit to her husband? God is wise. He knew that if Adam had punched her lights out when she first showed him the apple we'd still be in the Garden of Eden.

I don't see that as a curse, i personally see it as a blessing. If that had not happened, God would not have known who were true Christians, if she had not eaten the apple there would be people who are of other religions in heaven. However, she ate the apple, things happened in between, and there's lots of so called religions, but only Christians go to heaven.

Let me try and make that make sense more, if she hadn't of eaten the apple, everyone would have been Christian. But she did, other religions spawned, and people started believing those false religions instead of having their faith remain wholly in God. That way, God now knows who are true to him.

Hope that's understandable.
