Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
Why would you hope for non-violence in the UK? Surely it's just common sense to realise that the more the British bray each other, the less threat they pose to anyone else.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
It was even more complicated than that Dr Toole: in fact originally there was a Europeon ban on curved bananas (possibly because the gaywise Eurotrash found them inconvenient) and we were forced to eat straight ones. However, with the rise in the influence of the mooslim hordes, this regulation was abandoned and the crescent banana is now compulsory.
It is difficult to decide which was more offensive, but in any case I look forward to being able to eat proper, English bananas again, without interference from Frau Murckle.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
At last the British will be free from the oppression that forbide them from eating straight bananas. In your FACE, Fritz. I anticipate straight banana parties all over UK.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
If there is violence in Great Britain, there is violence there because God want's it that way. Just like there are little children dying in agony of hunger and cancer because God want's it that way.
I have no idea what Brexit is, but given that it's from Great Britain, I have no doubt it tastes horrible.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
I am never quite sure about Mr Cameroon, Dr Toole. While his campaign certainly did a great job to encourage the country's exit from Europe there was also the very unfortunate business with the pig.
I suppose we could put the latter down to youthful high spirits, but (as ever) we should be careful not to be too quick to forgive. Mister Cameroon also has form for being exceptionally rude about President-Elect Trump, referring to him as "divisive, stupid and wrong", but going on to hedge his bets with typically British weasel words, saying that he looked forward to working with The Donald. Well, that's not going to happen now, is it? He would have done well to recall James 4:11.
Is it a coincidence that Mr Carmeron was forced to resign when Mr Trump was in the country - well, in Scotland, which is almost the same?
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
Yes, this is Harsha Shah again. Thank you for your thoughts and I am thinking that there is goodwill and non-violence at the core of this issue, as things have been quite orderly. Yes.
I have been thinking and I am joining the Scots Naitional Pairtie as it is written in the Scots language. While I have been being here on this forum, yes, I have become a strong independent woman. Yes. The leader of SNP Mrs. Sturgeon is also a strong indcependent woman and as Scots we will be striving for a stong independent Scotland that is a member of the Eyuropean Union. Yes. I am very happy for my decision but I am also sad as I will be taking aleap further away from my religion that does not really support politics. Yes.
Yes, I might be busy in the future but I am promisiung you that I will be writing also here about the issues of religion and ethics that are interesting for all of us. Yes.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
Excellent points by the True Christians, as always. The OP is a misguided fool. But now she has already wasted our time opening this thread we should devote it to more suitable matters.
I would like to put out a prayer request for British President Boris Cameroon. He bowed to the fringe members of his party on the right - a minority of a minority - to get elected, and then followed through on the referendum they wanted that would affect millions of people for decades to come. He made some valiant efforts to campaign. At least I think he did. I seem to believe he was against but he may have been for. [TODO: check this]
Then after the result he heroically quit. He will walk away from the mess he created, conscience clear. It's not his problem, it's Britain's. He can live off his inheritance like any decent chap in England. That's just a sign of class. Soon, any day now, a crack team of negotiators consisting of [TODO: fill this in] will pick up where Mr. Cameroon left off, negotiating tremendous things and using the best words.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
Our evil president was against Brexit ... therefore, I was FOR it.
A bad day for obama, is a great day for America! Every time!
Philippians 4:8 - King James Version (KJV)
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
Sorry Harha, I will not pray for that. I will never pray for reason and non-violence. I will only and always pray for God's Will to be done, and we all know that is often accompanied by times of irrational action and tremendous violence. That's His Perfect Plan, and it's good enough for me.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
Congratulations to Britain for this success!
Now the side who derided all the "experts" and "elites" and "smart people" who warned about Brexit can sit back and watch how regular guys like Boris and Nigel negotiate the Brits into a second golden age. There's so much to like here.
As a Trump supporter I know that negotiation is how you succeed, and that it's best not to tell anyone your plans ahead of time. Let them think you don't even have any plans! That's how the Brexit guys roll too. God only know what happens now with 1/2 of their guys quitting and the other 1/2 completely raving insane passionate right-wing conservatives.
That $300 million a week that was being spent on Europe will now be available for beautiful things like tax cuts and fox hunting subsidies rather than idiocy such as worker's rights and cultural projects. Plus the really important stuff: FREEDOM, TAKING THE COUNTRY BACK, INDEPENDENCE DAY, WW2, FLAGS, RAH RAH RAH! ETC.
Re: Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote
Frankly I can't wait for all the Muslims to start being deported, that's why I voted for Brexit.
When they all started coming over here after whatever war it was in Bongobongoland (or whichever part of the Africa's they are from) England went downhill over night with too many gays and too many people comming over hear and tectin er jerbs and raping (legitimate, traditional, anal) our women.
What is wrong with voting for the deportation of rapists? And now that Boris has sacked Cameron every English voter can vote for a new leader: no more decisions about who rules the UK decided behind closed doors by the political elite.
Yes! Please pray for reason and non-violence after the Brexit vote :(
Yes, it is Harsha Shah here. I am writing because we were voting in Great Britain to decide if we would be staying in the EU. It is a No and while many people are happy and celebrating, there are others who are disappointed and angry. This was an emotional issue and many people were deciding on emotions and not reason. Yes. It was not being debated as a complex issue but about the people’s fears and I am thinking that emotions may will be flying high, yes. This is a risk. I am hoping that I am not offending you but I am asking for you to send thoughts and prayers of calm and reason to my country. Yes.
Yes. I was also voting and it was the first time I had been doing so. I had a hard time deciding but I had been thinking that I will not be voting for fear or for isolation so I was voting Yes and I am not very happy. Yes. It is beautiful that many people are happy but I am sad that many people are upset. Yes.
Please pray that my country re-discovers its traditions of non-violence and exploration. Yes.
