    Praying for the job market.

A fair number of the members of my local brick and mortar church have recently been laid off or the companies they work for have gone under.

I just wanted to ask that my fellow Christians here at the good Landover Baptist join me in praying that our Brothers and Sisters in Christ are able to navigate these troubled times.

God will provide what we need if we trust Him. Lets pray that they maintain their faith and keep thier heads up. Let us not rely on the fallability of man but the perfection of God.

My prayers go out to my Brethren here that might also be affected by the current economic state.

As far as the Cat-licks, mooslims, hindu's and other idol worshipping heathens, well, sorry, don't let me catch you rummaging through my garbage cans for scraps or I'll shoot ya. God hates you and so do I.
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

God, guns, and guts made America! Lets keep all three!sigpic God bless our troops and damn our enemies.

To help stimulate our economy, businesses should hang out signs that say 'Only God-fearing Republicans need apply.' Forget the silly talk that discrimination is illegal; they'll be discriminating for JESUS!!!

Jesus takes care of His own. Anyone without a job must be involved in some filthy perversion or something. I don't know anyone who's out of work.
        Who Will Jesus Damn?

I met an unemployed homer once; but he shouldn't have money anyway. Anyone who touches his money will get the AIDS.

You have a point there Jimmy. The Bible tells us that the less money you have, the more you should Tithe. The poor should give everything. Glory!!

Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. Mark 12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. Mark 12:43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: Mark 12:44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

Re: Praying for the job market.

I'll pray for your fellow members to stop being lazy and to go get a job.

Did they offer to work for much lower wages in order to not lose their jobs? Something like room and board possibly? I can't imagine such an offer would not be accepted if they were to make it. They aren't commie unionists are they? Never mind this is Georgia we're talking about.

Therefore it has to be that they are lazy and just didn't want to keep their jobs. The best way to help them is the tough love approach. Kicking them out of the Church is a good place to start. They aren't going to do much good and will probably just be a distraction by panhandling the hard working members. The next step would be to 'encourage' them to leave the area in order to find employment.

These two steps and the problem is solved for everybody. You won't have any lazy people around to disturb the your refined sense of reality and they are someone else's problem.

                    Glad I could help.
Micah 5:15 - And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
Micah 2:3 - Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time [is] evil.

I knew I could count on good acvice here! Thanks!

This is definitely the best approach. I'm sure a few will probaly spiral down to the level of living under a bridge before they get off thier lazy asses. I was thinking about starting a program at church for doing yard work for 1$ an hour. After 8 hours they would be able to go buy a happy meal at McDonalds. Better than starvation.

Lord, please take the prayers of Brother Boenheffer into your heart. Guide our politicians to reverse the policies of welfare, Medicare, Medicade, Social Security, unemployment insurance, and universal healthcare that keep generation after generation enmired in poverty by making it too easy not to work.

Lord, as your great servant Sarah Palin said, it has to be all about job creation. Give us, then, more tax cuts for the wealthy, for only those with cash to burn can invest in job creating industries. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.
