Re: Please Pray for Trig Palin

Think of all the millions of souls that could be Saved by God displaying His Glory in curing this one little retarded baby of his affliction! Atheists, agnostics, Taoists, and all the other God-mocking abominations would have no choice but to follow Him!

    Shout glory!

Amen to that. The boy though, how unfortunate.
God bless America, the Second Amendment and the Constitution. God bless the United States Marine Corps and all who fight for Jesus in third world cess pools. God bless the GOP and all they stand for, Truth, Honesty and the American people. God bless Landover Baptist Church and all True Christians™ the world over. God made man in his image. He did not make cripples or retards in his image. These freaks are not normal and are bad and worthless. Some are made to punish the parents/grandparents (like trig-al-torsi's here to punish Granny) others are made for Gods and sometimes our, entertainment. People that get messed up later in life become that way because they are sinners or someone very close to them is a sinner.

Well I simply must disagree. I think God's bountiful love is no more obvious when we look at the differently-abled, the developmentally-challenged, and everyone who has any sort of disease. I'll post some quotes I found over ay Yahoo Answers, a great source for pearls of sage wisdom:

God doesn't create people to be physically or mentally handicapped, but He allows it. Maybe it's a test of faith for their families, their friends, their church family. He doesn't allow more to happen to us than we and He can handle together. Maybe we the family/friends/church family have something we need to learn that this child can teach us -- like patience, compassion, generosity, hospitality ....

Some of the mentally and/or physically handicapped individuals I have known, I have preferred over quite a few of the "normal" people I have had to deal with.

            Source(s):

            Life
God does not make anyone handicapped. Our first human parents, Adam and Eve, were created perfectly, without defect. When they sinned against God they became imperfect and passed that on to their children.
Think of a cake mold that gets dented. Every cake thereafter using that mold will have a dent in it. As time has gone on and humans have continued procreating, more and more defects have entered in. Part of that is mental or physical handicaps.
We don't have God to thank but rather our first sinful parents.
A lot of these people have a much purer soul than we do. Take a down syndrome child for instance, their loving attitude for everyone is part of God's Image....

I believe these people are here to help us deal with our own hearts, our attitudes toward people who are not perfect "IN OUR EYES" and can be a great help in growing character in their parents....(Just my opinion)
            To show His glory.

To give the rest of us opportunities to be humble, accepting, loving, and selfless.

My 15-year-old cousin has autism. She can barely feed herself and use the bathroom. She will probably never talk. But she has radiating joy in her life. She's not the one who is uncomfortable - we are. My cousin smiles and hugs people so much more than an "average" person. She is on this earth to show that there is something beautiful about the human soul, something greater than spoken words can say.
All of us are born sinners. I am a born sinner. I was born with scoliosis. Sin manifested in me to make me that way. I doubt very much if there is anyone in Heaven with scoliosis. You see, most Christians want to think that sin is an action. In my experience, sin isn't just actions, it's in our nature. So the nature of sin manifested in me to give me a somewhat twisted back. God didn't make man that way, but God didn't make man sinning.

Does that clear it up a little?
honestly that's a very good question
and my opinion is that he makes them like
that to test people nothing God makes is
a mistake so obviously he had a plan for
everyone that is mentally retarded and/or
            physically handicapped
God has a reason for everything. Maybe He is using such a person to help someone else develop patience, compassion, etc. Maybe He's trying to remind all of us that there is more to life than this physical realm.
This is an age old question. I wish I could give a definitive answer. I wish I could say that God does not create the mentally or physically challenged among us, however, the scriptures clearly tell us that He is there when we are created in our mothers wombs. So that tells me that at the very least He allows us to be born with all kinds of infirmities.

Believing as I do that He is a loving God, I believe that his purpose must be a just one. I do not pretend to understand it, but I trust Him. My little sister was born with Downs Syndrome. I would never have chosen for that to happen in my family, however, I can say with certainty, that every one in my family is a better person, for having had the opportunity to know and love her.

Blessings come in all sizes and are sometimes disguised as tragedies. If we are wise enough, courageous enough, and trusting enough, hopefully, we can see our Heavenly Fathers deep and abiding love through them all.
There can be many reasons why a person is born deformed, mentally challenged, physically hadicapped. Some of those reasons may be from nutritional, chemical, human error, God gave the earth to man to have dominion over it. Satan stole it from man in the garden of Eden and Jesus bought it back for man at the cross. There is a whole spiritual warfare going on all around us. And deception is a tool of satan. Bottom line is like it or not God is God and He can allow whatever He wants to allow, satan is always trying to make God look like the bad guy in every situation. You name it. The more important question that should be being asked is what are we doing to help people who have difficult situations. That is what Jesus taught us. Feed the hungry, care for the dying, Love the unloveables. We are each created in God's image. That's true. I worked with hanicapped kids and they were beautiful. And you could see God in them. The question is, can you see Him in your mirror?
GOD doesn't, the devil does... have you forgotten about the devil???

We are discussing a tard here and it is the child of a quitter. It had no chance at all after it's mother quit like a coward to go slink off into the Alaska wilderness somewhere.

In the Beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth. Genesis 1.1. This scripture is the first verse of the Bible for a reason. It lays the foundation for the absolute truth found in God's Holy WORD, the Bible.
