    PRACTICE THE LOVE OF CHRIST

    Dear Christians,

Christ spoke of love to enemies, forgiveness, mercy, and kindness. Yet, for some reason, people that call themselves "Christians" do not reflect Christ's love on this site, at times. This is sinful.

Also, President Obama is doing a wonderful job. Even if he didn't, I would not bad mouth OUR PRESIDENT, even when Bush, Jr. was in office.

I have voted in EVERY SINGLE ELECTION SINCE 18, except one during my son's birth. IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN, YOU SHOULD ALL PRACTICE THE LOVE THAT CHRIST SHOWED AND HUMILITY. I pray that one day, people truly reflect the love of Christ instead of calling themselves "Christians" yet spewing hateful speech. By the way, I am African American.

Hey boy, don't come in here with a chip on your shoulder. This is God's favorite forum, and we practice love as He commands, not as your false nigra church imagines. Please read our Church Doctrines before getting uppity.

Why the hate son? Just because you are one of 'them' does not mean you should hate so much. What about live and let live?
'That man' (I cannot speak his name) is not my president. He is ruining this country with his hidden mooslime agenda and selling off to the chinks.
Typical for one of this kind to try to back him up.
Notice his birth parents are a mix of the two races. Dr. Mark Becton stated, very wisely I might add "We must end this blending with the times. We must remain clean and pure".
I knew we never should of allowed you people to vote.

But aren't you simply re-iterating the purpose of this site (as referenced by the kind pastor Ezekiel?)

The whole problem with Christianity are the people that call themselves Christians, but aren't. They are false Christians. They will cherry-pick parts they like and spit on the parts they don't like. That is blasphemy and sinful. The Bible is not a DIY book where you just pick and choose.

The thinking of false Christians summed up: is there something in the Bible you don't like? No problem, just blot it out with permanent marker or tear the page out of your Bible.

Is it a sin to want to help people go to Heaven? God begs to differ!
I take my orders from Jesus H. Christ, supernatural born US citizen

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
        Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Re: PRACTICE THE LOVE OF CHRIST

You're all very aware that God is a vengeful God, but more than anything else you should remember that he is compassionate to every one of his children. Are you familiar with 1 John 4:8? I think people on this forum often take it upon themselves to be as vengeful and as judgemental as the Lord himself. That's not anyone's place but God's. True Christians should act kindly, and a lot of the time the members of this forum do. But certain people are very frequently downright rude, judgemental and merciless in their attacks on other people and their characters. Sure, you know a lot about Christianity. It doesn't give you the right to be horrible to people who don't.

I think that's a noble pursuit. It's also completely discouraged on this forum by an elitist, anti non-Christian policy. How are you going to help unbelievers when you treat them all horribly if they come to your site looking for information?

As I understand, the purpose of this forum is not to be kind, but to be direct. The pastors can explain this in more detail, but you should look at the welcome guide in the news section for an introduction.

Most Christians will pick and choose the parts in the Bible they like. You say that you read in the Bible that God is vengeful. Would you rather have an answer like "yes, indeed" or "nah man, that doesn't fit my own opinion, so I'll just read between the lines"?

You will see various threads here where Christians come in, saying "but God wants X" and "no no, but He wants you to think Y" even when there are Bible passages directly contradicting their claim. How can such people be taken seriously?

I you said "hi there, welcome!" to someone, how would you feel if that person said "oh, he means go away!"

Are kind and direct mutually exclusive? I'm pretty sure some of the posters here are malicious simply for the sake of feeding their ego.

What about sections of the bible that contradict? For example, whether Joseph was the son of Jacob (Matthew 1:16) or Heli (Luke 3:23) and the sins of the father issue (Isiah 14:21 vs Deuteronomy 24:16). I think sometimes the only way to determine the truth is to look at the things that have remained consistent across all the books of the bible and all the gospels; like, for instance, that God is merciful and loving. Jesus was not here to bring peace (I'm sure a lot of you know that verse) but he did bring a message of love and forgiveness.

There are no contradictions in the Holy Bible. Being unsaved, you have no hope of compehending it's full majesty and depth.

Plus, God probably tossed one of His famous stumbling blocks before you.

Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

Look at Matthew 1:16 and Luke 3:23, Pastor. Are you suggesting Joseph had two fathers? There's no interpretation or comprehension necessary, it's very clearly stated.

Have you read Jeremiah 6? That verse is about rejecting the paths of old religions that are displeasing to God. I'm not sure how you've interpreted the context as being relevant to contradictions in the bible. Care to shed some light on that for me?

Are you suggesting that the good pastor would ever think that Joseph was raised in a homersexual family? The Bible is pretty clear about such a family setting...

See, it's exactly this kind of ignorant bigotry that keeps you hating atheists. You're completely misinformed about how we live.

Just for the record - we don't pray to anyone. Least of all Ayn Rand she writes good books but I don't think that makes her a god.

Sister Mary Maria - you like YouTube, as a medium for spreading God's word. I like Ayn Rand, because she writes quite well. If I asked you whether you pray to YouTube, wouldn't you think that was totally ridiculous?

You're operating under the false assumption that an alias represents a person's beliefs. In the huge world that exists beyond this little forum, people regularly have usernames which aren't related to their religious views

So then you admit that you're a liar. Typical immoral atheist.

                              God hates liars.

                              Proverbs 6
[16] These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
[17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
[18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
[19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
                              Who Will Jesus Damn?
