New debate: Slavery based on the Bible

Well, he obviously is not going to post. So, Rev. Rodimer, could you please answer my questions? I will put them again for you.

1) If you guys think slavery is right, why is it bad that pokemon teaches slavery? Logically, if you supported slavery, that would be a great thing.

2) Please do explain your logic. I am sure it is there, because no one would ever post something on such a serious topic without having a real argument unless they were trolling. And i know you are not a Troll Rev.

3) Once again, the game is about enslaving talking, thinking creatures and using them to fight for your amusement.

4) Do you think that enslaving others is OK, and why or why not?

5) Do you think a game where you train pit bulls to fight to the death would be OK? Why or why not? How about doing it in real life? Is that OK?

Again, you did say you wanted this discussion. And "agoodpedestrian" is obviously not going to post any time soon. So please, lets have this discussion.

As much as I'd enjoy discussing slavery with you from a Biblical perspective, and soon will, I'm waiting for our God-mocking friend "agoodpedestrian" to explain why it's OK from his secular perspective, and why something that he thinks is NOT OK in real life becomes OK when it is a game.

I'm also eagerly awaiting his order for "Michael Vick's Dog Fight Club", a new video game. After all, there's really no difference between making dogs fight for your amusement and making pocket monsters do the same, right?

Sure I can. Enslaving a thinking, speaking creature is no different in intent than enslaving a human.

Why do you think it's OK to capture and enslave others, and force them to fight for your amusement? Do you do that with dogs?

So? What does that have to do with you saying it's OK to enslave creatures and have them fight for your amusement?

So unless you are asking rhetorical questions, and actually do think slavery is right but are just (going against this forums code... thing... or whatever) by censoring it for some reason, you think Slavery is wrong and don't like it.

its been a while. Personaly i hate most rock music. But theirs some thats ok. That man was right. The game is ok if you dont sit their all damn day and play it. Thats being obsesive. Which is creepy. Second my point was you can say whatever you want, its going to be hard to get people to listen. Its a game, their not a race or person, Their cartoon charecters. Although id agree some of them are kind of weird and creepy. 23 days till christmas. It is my favorite holiday. .

So... slavery is ok but it is wrong? yes this post was a while ago but i was browsing through.

And no I am not saying slavery is right, it is wrong, but someone on this sight said it was.

Unfortunately in this day and age, children are just so easily brainwashed into beleiving anything!

My little brother is still a catholic dispite my attempts to show him the Lord. Last month at Sunday school at his Catholic Church they actually allowed them to bring their pokemon cards and Gameboys to play Pokemon!

I was so shocked and filthy about the situation I wrote a letter to the preist and demanded him to stop the devil entering my brother through this game. He replied with this statement;

Dearest Terry,

I am sorry to hear that you are offended by allowing your younger brother to play pokemon at our Sunday school. Although I would like to help you resolve this matter, the truth is that pokemon and the associated game is pleasantly harmless to all Children. Our attempts to help your brother and the other students "catch them all" is a way of helping the younger generation learn that sharing a particular hobby with others is a great way to meet friends and enjoy life.

So not only do they allow such madness, they want their students to catch all the pokemon. With every poemon caught, my brothers soul slips closer and closer to the fired of eternal damnation.
