We should look at the story of Jonah. Yes Ninevah did a lot of bad things and probably deserved to be blown off the face of the earth, but God is very compassionate and Merciful, and despite what they deserved he decided to give them a second chance.
Maybe we should give Reykjavik a second chance as I think that is what God would want us to do.
Maybe one of you could go there and give them a message.

Well, my friend, giving Reykjavik a second chance is exactly what we have been doing since February. However, unlike the people of Nineveh, who immediately repented after the words of Jonah, Iceland has hardened its heart, and has shown no sign of repentance still, which is why God lost His Patience on March the 21st, and is still punishing Iceland.

Well, this is what I've been trying to tell you for some time now. But it is necessary to think and act like Jesus in all aspects, not only in the aspects you like, Otto.

You see, Jesus has given Iceland multiple opportunities to repent and accept Him as their Lord and Saviour, like Jesus promised in the Scripture you quoted.
However, if a city or country rejects the Message of Jesus, like you eskimos have done since February, when you were confronted with it on these forums, Jesus promises the following, about fifteen verses down from the Passage you quoted:

Luke 10:10-15:
But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

The same thing which once happened to Sodom and Gomorrah once is now happening to Iceland. And, according to this Passage, worse will come.

Well, I guess maybe because it's hard to say and harder to spell? I mean, would you to have to write that out everytime you had to fill out a name and address form?

I used to live in a place named "Conshohocken"; my friends barely forgave me!


Afterall, it's not some honest down-to-God's-earth name like "Houston" or "Landover".
