Re: Pray for the Destruction of Denmark.

Ever since God have lead me to this forum, the Holy Spirit have revealed a lot of the full truth to me. Before I started to read on this board, I would have thought it will be ungodly to pray for destruction of an whole nation. Now it slowly starts to get through to me. I don't have the slightest doubt about God wanting and having the might to destroy those who disobeys Him.

Still have any of you thought about praying for revival in Denmark instead of it's destruction? I believe that if the country have just one fully dedicated to Christ church. God will be able to work through them to let the whole nation bow before God. From time to time God have used small things to full fill His great plan. Like 5 bread and 2 fish given by a ready to serve small child to feed thousands of people physically and of course also spiritually.

Abraham was consulting with God about not destroying Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 18:22-33). I know that in the end there was no righteous man in the city, like foreseen by God. What I want to bring up is that it's not wrong to pray for destruction. Neither for begging for mercy from God. As long as we pray that the will of God will be done.

I'm still young in faith (3 years) and I still need to learn and experience more about the full truth that God have revealed to us in His Word. So if I said anything wrong, please don't have mercy and teach me accordingly to God's Word.

Praise the LORD! When I looked out of the window this morning here in Denmark, I noticed that sweet baby Jesus has started what is looking like a flood. Just take a look at this:
TV 2 er danskernes kilde til aktuelle nyheder, sport, vejr og underholdning. På tv2.dk kan du også se TV 2s populære programmer og kanaler.

Just take a look at the stupid idiots. Driving straigth into the water. No wonder God hates them.

The power of the Landover Baptist prayers is magnificent. Keep the prayers going until all the wicked, Demons and Satans minions have been cleansed from Denmark.

What a wondorful day. And I think I can smell my wife baking a pie!

Sister you are of strong passions if artificial vanilla can arouse feelings of bloodlust!! Truly a daughter of God. The Old Testament is full of examples of God's wrath for those people and things that displeased Him.

Your mention of Lot and his daughters brought to mind my wonderment (and perhaps one of our Pastors could explain it to me) of how Lot could knock up not one but both daughters and become a Biblical Patriarch and the neighbor across the street molested his niece and got 27 years in the pen ??? He tried the "I was drunk at the time" excuse too, but the judge didn't buy it.

    Amen??

I'd really, really miss those artery clogging Danish butter cookies at Christmas. I've been very disappointed with cheap imitation cookies that try to skimp using margarine.

Oh, Brother Barnabus, I ,too, deeply disapprove of non-butter use in cookies. Imitation vanilla is another evil that I have rallied against. Perhaps there is a verse or two in God's good word that I could use to support my petition for the death penalty against the purveyors of false vanilla. Thus far I have met with little success. Some even question my judgment in bringing forth this cause, but if I could present Biblical based reasons, I know I could gather much support.

Good food for thought Sister Handmaiden ....

I got to thinking ( I know , a scary proposition) about the possible consequences and repercussions if the Almighty rubber stamps
APPROVED! on our prayer request to destroy Denmark.

    1. I'd really, really miss those artery clogging Danish butter cookies at Christmas. I've been very disappointed with cheap imitation cookies that try to skimp using margarine.

    2. ummm, I can't think of a #2 right now , but there has to be something.

Re: Pray for the Destruction of Denmark.

    Dearest Brothers in Christ;

Regarding this latest exhortation to pray for the destruction of Denmark, I am troubled.

As you know, I am a tenderhearted being and it is difficult for me to summon up the proper amount of righteous wrath at a moment's notice. I am also prone to a lot of deep thinking and we know what reckless behavior that is.

So, I thought that I would consult with my brothers before possibly wandering into sinful territory.

Some folk are being very specific in naming the types of destruction that they feel God might wish to use upon Denmark. Now there is a school of thought that holds that God would actually rather answer specific requests, over more vaguely worded prayers.

Any man can tell you that when a woman tells him to "just buy something that you know I like" after he asks what she wants for some occasion, his ears bleed internally as if she just drew her nails down a length of chalkboard.

Since man was made in God's image, I can imagine He would feel the same way.

On the other hand, God has proven Himself pretty creative over the eons. Besides making the earth and all the funny animals, He has come up with some pretty awe inspiring ways of wiping out sinners over the centuries.

The Flood was all Him, you know. And the fire and brimstone raining down horrible death on every man, woman and child in Sodom and Gomarrah -- did He need James Cameron to stage that spectacle? Not hardly. All those plagues were shear genius. It wasn't just disease type plagues, but those "locust-grams" and "frog-grams"--entertaining stuff!

Face it, we're worshiping a VERY imaginative Deity here, folks.

Sometimes, when I go to the hairdresser, I bring in a picture and have a very specific idea of how I want my hair to look and the stylist ends up disappointing me. But when I give the hairdresser her head -so to speak - and tell her to work with my hair's natural tendencies, well, I have often been pleasantly surprised.

Therefore, you can see my quandary. I want to support in this prayer effort to my best abilities. Any direction that you gentlemen could offer would be appreciated.

    Beseechingly Yours,

    Handmaiden

Why are you helping people who are too lazy to work for their own house? Proverbs 12:24 "The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor."
