  • Brethren, We Covet Your Prayers...

My dear friends, the Serrano Street Congregation I call home here in Ft Worth has suffered a tragedy. It's been ongoing. Our 4,200 member congregation has been enduring a budget setback. It began early this year and has gotten worse.

At first, we suspected it was due to an increase in welfare moochers being allowed to borrow funds from the church for groceries and bill assistance. But after firing one pastor for erring in that direction by giving away money, we have found that things still aren't much better.

To make matters worse, my step-son, Parker, one of our associate pastors, is now barely clearing $142,000 per year. We've prayed and cried about this, which is why we now sequester your prayers, and even a love offering if the Lord leads you to do so.

Have you ever seen tears run down the sleak, shiny hood of an Enzo? It isn't pretty.

    May God bless you.

    Pastor Ed

Since your church is in Texas, I suspect the real problem is all those jigs and greasers in the congregation.

The coons are notorious for spending all their money on Colt 45 and the spics have high maintenance costs keeping their "chivvies" running.

Perhaps you should consider a more aggressive recruitment effort in the white areas of town.
