Why would you hijack some random thread to do this? Why not start your own thread? What does your complaint have to do with the OP's concern about the City of Detroit?

Why don't you start a thread in the introduction forum? Tell us who you are, what brought you here, and what you hope to accomplish.

You really have to understand the evolution of Detroit. Back in the early 1900's, Henry Ford came up with the concept of the assembly line for building cars. He met with prominent anthropologists who convinced him that monkeys, chimps, baboons, etc. could be taught one repetitive task and work on the line building cars.

Henry embraced the idea. He began planning to import thousands of non-human primates from Africa, South America and South Asia. He went so far as to have the entire city of Detroit rezoned as a zoo.

Henry then informed the white residents of Detroit that they should move north to Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Woods. He introduced something called "The Pointe System" to ensure the area would remain homogenous.

Detroit is a former city now reduced to ruins. Literally. I grew up in Detroit and Detroit is LITERALLY full of ruins. I've seen it with my own eyes. And if it isn't ruins it's burned out neighborhoods, unkempt streets, litter everywhere, fields of undeveloped land covered in wild grass, boarded up abandoned houses, wild packs of savage bucks, and crackheads and drunks everywhere.
