As I get older everyone I know either has cancer, or knows someone in their family who is dealing with cancer. When it hits the people you love it hurts especially the hardest.

I say a prayer for everyone who I meet who has cancer; I pray that the Lord in His mercy can hold off on the cancer so that each one is able to come to salvation thru Jesus before he dies.

Every time I hear of someone new with the cancer I always think that it is a sign from Jesus telling me that He is calling His people back to him.

I think this is precisely why Jesus gives so many folks the cancer and then allows them to linger on and suffer in unspeakable pain for years.

I certainly don't want to hear any whining on judgment day about how any cancer sufferers didn't have ample time to repent and accept the tender mercy and peace of CHRIST before it was too late.

Amen. If you ask me, any cancer patient who refuses to take at least the first steps to cultivating a personal relationship with Jesus should be denied treatment. All that chemo could be going to someone who might actually use what time they have left to become a Christian. I can't help but wonder how much of MY tax money goes toward treatment for someone who refuses to seek His face. Fat chance of sensible measures like this happening under Obamacare though.

Why not require that patients read Chick tracts during their chemotherapy treatments? If they can't pass the quiz at the end of the first treatment, they don't get the next treatment.

It strikes me that the cancer is God's loving way of saying 'come number six, you time is up'.

You get told exactly how much time you have left and can plan your tithing and get down with Jesus.

I find it very anxiety provoking that I don't know exactly when a car, lorry, rhino or some other object of carnage, sent by Merciful God, might kill me.

Having the cancer would give me the peace of mind I need to get right with Jesus and know for sure how much of the nest egg I was saving for my kids to give as tithe.

Cancer: the best Soul Insurance there is!

I don't have kids.
I vaccinate my dog to prevent him contracting rabies if he is exposed to it. Vaccines don't kill, and they only hurt for a fraction of a second. Cancer kills and the patient suffers chronic excruciating pain.
