The amount of crops produced isn't the problem, it's the distribution of the crops produced.

I am not suggesting that everyone turn to producing only organic food, I just don't see why you all don't like organic food, when it does not contradict the Bible.

Actually, production is the problem. Organic farming doesn't even produce 1/2 of the bushels/acre that modern farming does. But hey, don't tear down the forests to make more farmland either.

BTW, where did you get the idea that "organic"= non-harmful? DEET is less of a carcinogen than Citronella, but which one got banned for "not being natural"?

Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ, it is dilemmas like these that we must find ourselves turning to the Bible (KKJV1611) for the Word of God in these matters. In this case we need to look at what Jesus did in what has become known as the "Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes".

When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

Even in Biblical times the people lived by Godly capitalism and the division of labor. Some people were fishermen (as were the apostles), while others raised grains and barley, and still others baked the grains into loaves of bread so that the population could buy them. These were indeed "prepared foods", and even the fish were salted ("chemicals") to preserve them so that they would not rot while they were carried around.

What we have here is an attempt by Obama's SEIU union thugs to falsely appeal to our Holy Bible (KJV16111) to promote their attempts to bankrupt our capitalist economy for their own benefit.

There are a few holistic visions out there, but I will be focusing on UNITE HERE's cafeteria worker campaign called "Real Food, Real Jobs."

Here's the big idea. In many places, cafeteria workers are increasingly asked to simply heat frozen, pre-packaged foods for students. Raw foods are trucked from farms where they're grown to industrial processing factories, and then frozen before being again trucked hundreds of miles away to universities to be warmed. Wages have been cut in some places as skilled food preparation specialists are replaced by "warmers."

So UNITE HERE's Local 23 is organizing to build coalitions with community food activists who can help them in their campaign to include wage, real food preparation and sustainability provisions in contracts up for renewal in the next year at five schools here in the Washington, D.C. area: Georgetown Law, American University, Gallaudet University, Howard University and Trinity College.

The message is clear: cafeteria workers want to cook again. There's a consistent message: we love our students, and we want to cook beautiful, healthy foods for them.

God, in His infinite abundance and generosity, gave us the "miracle" of food additives, chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, and modern industrial processing of foods so that more soldiers for Christ could live on this earth to praise the Honor and Glory of God and praise His Grace.

If Obama's SEIU union thugs had their way they would have forced Jesus to sign a union contract and pay them thousands to set up the preparation and baking of bread in the desert and to run fresh fish from the sea to feed the multitudes. Indeed, their union contracts would not have allowed Jesus' disciples to be "warmers" and pass out the loaves and fishes but would have required more union thugs to be hired to pass out the loaves and fishes.

In retrospect we can only guess what Jesus might have done with these union thugs and their attempts to extort the Son of God, but here is one of my favorite Bible (KJV1611) passages:

People have been using fertilizer and pesticides since the beginning of agriculture. I'm happy to live in an age when you can buy huge ripe tomatoes any month of the year, or a big healthy bunch of celery instead of that stringy 'organic' stuff. I'm surprised that organic people are so happy about their organic foods. Have you ever looked at the organic tables at the Piggly Wiggly? They want you to pay twice as much for vegetables that look like they were grown by a mechanic and not a farmer.

We do not think the Holy Bible is the True Word of God. We know it and through our Faith in the Lord's Holy Word we live our lives.

I will suggest the following to you:

Read your Bible, know your Bible and above all Live by your Bible in every way.

I am not going to quote Bible verses to you as we have done that in other threads with no apparent result or change in your attitude.

Well.. germ theory is a different thing. I was wondering whether Mr. Hold was sure that bacteria existed when another True Christian states that creation science says it does not.

However, germ theory challenge.
No, as I am not a microbiologist or doctor, I can only give evidence as researched by others. I also don't want to pay $5000.

Also, it's called a theory for a reason. Theories can be disproved through experimentation, so of course it isn't the only possible way, and we may never know for sure if it's actually true or untrue. It will be assumed to be true until it is disproved.

The problem with organic food is it turns its back on God's desire for man to dominate all things on this earth. May I remind you of Genesis 1:28

...replenish the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every creature that moveth on the earth.

This tells us when we have the opportunity to dominate, as in killing bugs with pesticides and adding commerical fertilizer to chemically deficient soils where the crawling earth worms and bacteria live, we are commanded to demonstrate our power.

So God wants us to dominate the earth. How do you know using pesticides and fertilizers is the way to do it? And wouldn't it go against human domination when humans become unhealthy as a result of the excessive use of chemicals? It doesn't actually benefit us when chemicals get into the food we eat.

The chemicals also kill animals, which could have been our food.

And for some reason, I don't think the words "factory-processed" are in the Bible. According to the Bible, could you explain how "domination" relates to eating factory-processed foods when it is the unhealthy option and pollutes the air and water that humans use?

Factory Processed = Manly (as in white, Republican male, Baptist)

Organic = Wuss (as in liberal, union joining, homosexual atheist with beard)

Eat organic food and turn into a liberal with a beard. Who wants that??
