You can't be a Christian if you don't read God's Word and obey it . . .Originally posted by ruslan111 View PostNow very rarely read the Bible.
Jn 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Kazakhstan: Christian Pastor Arrested for “Praying and Singing”
For those who don't care to read the whole tedious story (i.e. anyone with any sense) the interesting part is :
So he spiked the wine - alcoholic wine no doubt - with bad acid and then talked gibberish. What did he expect, some sort of medal?
In fact, I think we should applaud the Kazakh government:

Let's face it, the wives are seriously over-priced, especially since they won't let you look under the floor-length carpet-covering before you buy. There could be ANYTHING under there (though you can be pretty sure it's not a camel, as they're more expensive).Originally posted by Donovan A. Thank you for the synopsis, not surprising, the middle east is full of sin and depravity, I never want to go back there.
Just think about this, in any local market you can get a wife, a rifle and a goat, same price.
The pens are disgusting
God Bless

The exact nature of the charges against Kashkumbayev are unclear, but members of the church who attended his arraignment told Forum 18 he was detained, not for the wine, “but for praying in tongues and singing".
In fact, I think we should applaud the Kazakh government:
YiCIn another test of religious freedom in Kazakhstan, supporters of journalist Alexander Kharlamov, who was detained in March on charges of inciting religious hatred by publishing his atheist views, have drafted an online petition demanding his release. Kharlamov is undergoing forced psychiatric evaluation in Almaty to see if he is fit to stand trial.

Christian organizations in the U.S. that can help shepherd
I want to tell you about the persecution of Christians in Kazakhstan. I ask you to pray for Pastor bahatzhana Karimovich
Looking through chronicled on Facebook, I have found that many are in otpukah, sea Demidovich again reflects the sea, Mokhnenko Kurti pedal to Siberia with his boys, many pastors put up photos from fishing, the beach, the forest, the sanatorium. PASTOR Bahytzhan Karimovich from Astana continues to sit in jail. It turns out the aggrieved wrote a statement, which is not affected by the pastor, but ....
read the news today:
Pastor Kashkumbaev may be sentenced to seven years in prison.
Two months of pre-trial detention was pastor from Astana Bahytzhan Kashkumbaev for allegedly inflicted serious bodily injury of one of the parishioners. The very "victim" denies harming her health.
Два месяца предварительного заключения получил пастор из Астаны Бахытжан Кашкумбаев за якобы причиненный вред здоровью одной из прихожанок. Сама «пострадавшая» отрицает причинение ей вреда.
THIS IS TOTALLY NEW: Pastor located in Astana Christian Presbyterian Church "Grace," 66-year-old Bahytzhan Kashkumbaev from mid-May is under arrest. May 17 he was arrested on charges of intentionally causing serious bodily injury of one of his parishioners - 34-year-old Lyazzat Almenovoy. May 19 court number 2 of the Almaty district of Astana decided to put the pastor under pre-trial detention for two months.
If wine Kashkumbaeva is proved, in accordance with Section 103 of the Penal Code he faces three to seven years in prison. This article is called "intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm", the first part of this article requires a deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm, dangerous to human life. The same act against two or more persons referred to in the second part of this article. Kashkumbaev charged under the first part of Article 103.
Bahytzhan Kashkumbaev "under the guise of charitable and religious activities which have a psychological impact on the congregation, including with the use of intoxicating funds to collect donations for the association," says the decision of the court on May 19. There's also a reference to an expert report stated that the visit Lyazzat Almenovoy this religious associations provoked her attack of paranoid schizophrenia.
International human rights organization with headquarters in Norway Forum 18 believes that no specific reason to charge the pastor Bakhytzhan Kashkumbaevu court did not provide. Forum 18 quotes of other members of the church "Grace" that the detention and trial were chosen very carefully. Kashkumbaeva arrested late Friday, the hearing was held on Sunday morning, the pastor's lawyer Riza Nurbayeva unable to attend the hearings.
Kashkumbaev is a supporter of the small Christian community in Astana in 1995. The criminal case against Bakhytzhan Kashkumbaeva brought in October 2012. In this case, the base was a statement Gulzahiry Almanovoy, the mother of "victim", composed July 21, 2011. It took 15 months to bring a criminal case and seven months to get to his arrest.
The very Lyazzat Almenova claims to the pastor does and believes that the psychiatric examination was assigned to it in 2012 illegal. This follows from its application to the prosecutor's office in Astana.
"I ask you to stop the criminal case DIA of Astana on the fact of me grievous bodily harm under Art. 103 part 1 of the Criminal Code, as the injury is not caused by me, I consider myself completely healthy, the application for action I did not serve, I believe that the case was brought illegally without my statements, "- said in a handwritten statement Lyazzat Almenovoy.
A copy of the document provided Liberty Wade Cusack American Organization of Russian Ministries, he is the head of the project on religious freedom in Eurasia.
- Many members of the Christian communities in Kazakhstan believe that these absurd accusations against the pastor and his imprisonment in jail are not random. They believe that it is an act of intimidation parishioners and preventive measure aimed primarily at ethnic Kazakhs, converts from Islam to Christianity. This is a "trial balloon" before the start of large-scale repression of the inconvenient religious groups - Wade says Cusack.
He notes that this case, as well as numerous raids on other religious groups to take place against the background of the recent restrictive changes to Kazakh legislation. Public authorities' aggressive pressure "seek to comply with the new law on religion, which was signed by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in 2011. As a result of this activity 579 religious groups were denied registration and accordingly, the right to legal existence, Wade says Cusack.
Restrictions against the activities of many small religious communities in Kazakhstan, have been criticized in the U.S. State Department report released in May of this year.Tags: None
