The issue at hand is that a prominent Indian female diplomat working in New York named Devyani Khiobragade has been accused of committing visa fraud and grossly underpaying her children's nanny.

However, entering the land of the free requires rubbing shoulders with the descendants of those who fought long and hard for freedom. The maid Sangeeta Richard (obviously a Christian woman) upon arrival in the US, quickly made contact with Godly American police who assured her of individual freedom and promptly took action against the Indian diplomat for enslaving the maid against her will.
In fact, they didn't just stop at that. In order to drive home a proper message, the New York police went to the extent of strip-searching the entitled and privileged diplomat who thought she was above the law. She now faces 15 years in prison for human trafficking.
As far as I'm aware, diplomatic immunity only covers you against fabricated accusations of espionage, terrorism charges, taxes and some import duties. Diplomatic immunity does not mean an open license to bring slaves by manipulating visa rules.
This news incident would have had little consequence in America but over here in India, it's shaking the foundation of Indian elites because for the first time, a Hindu woman representing political bigwigs among Indians has been indiscriminately targeted for her immoral behavior. So far, the elites in India have enjoyed a free ride and it's not uncommon for them to advocate the exploitation of labour, having access to 12 year old maids and 15 year old drivers while paying them absolutely nothing!
And they export these third world practices everywhere they go.
Apparently the displeased Indian elites are putting unnecessary diplomatic pressure on US government to make American Government apologize for this incident.

By considering themselves superior to those who serve them, these Indian elites are violating a number of Biblical guidelines.

According to an employment contract obtained by NDTV, the nanny -- an Indian national named Sangeeta Richard -- was supposed to be paid $4,500 per month (as stated in her U.S. visa), but Khobragade later changed the salary to $537 a month.
