Re: I Have Sinned Against Yee!

    Dear little Bozo:

I hope you can read this, even though your day pass has probably expired, and you've been returned to the loving arms and lock-down of the psychiatric hospital.

But if you can read this, don't you think, just possibly, Mr. Wide-Open-to-God may be right? That if you would only change your attitude, all would be better? You'd have friends, Bozo, REAL friends. Not the imaginary ones who only talk to you at night in your head when no one's looking, but real, flesh and blood-of-the-LAMB friends. In fact, I'm going to send you a friend request as soon as I post this; one of my first. Won't you accept it? Won't you take my hand, Bozo? It's reaching out to you. I feel you are on a ledge, and if you would only take my hand we could pull you back, together.

No...NO!...do NOT grab my sleeve! I will not go down in flames with you!

Okay. I'm going to talk to you from over here.

Do you ever watch movies, Bozo? Did you ever see a movie called Rebecca, by Alfred Hitchc_ck? (He was not American but the movie was MADE in America, and therefor good.) There's a scene where the evil lezzie housekeeper brings the shy second wife over to a balcony while she's suffering a nervous breakdown after her party didn't go well, and the housekeeper coos, "Wouldn't it be easier to jump? Wouldn't it, M'lady?"

And I ask you the same thing...wouldn't it be easier to jump? But not into the fiery pits of hell as you complete your descent, but over to US...to the over to the Ever Loving Landoverians!

Believe me, don't fight it. In the long run it's simpler to just close your eyes and ACCEPT what they're dishing out here. Let GO of the anger and disappointment. Let GO of the petty squabbling about who (except Jesus) said what when (except in the Bible).

Just let go and let Landover.

    I will pray for you.

Miss Cookie, don't forget we hate the sin, not the sinner. It hurts me personally every time I have to give an infraction, sometimes I just well up, but a mod's gotta do what a mod's gotta do.

Your wad of infraction points will expire in 2 hours, so there is no need to reverse it, but I am glad you have learned your lesson anyway.

If only Bozo would have the same attitude, but I guess Baby Jesus is not smiling upon him yet.

    Yours In Him,

    Wide-Open to The Lord.

An excellent book, Mistress Cookie. I pray for the day bookstores have to move it from the fiction shelves to the non-fiction shelves.

Oh, and welcome to Landover Baptist! Please make yourself at home.

The other handmaid salutations are "May the Lord Open" (a wish of fertility) and "Under His Eye" (acknowledgement of Constant Observatiuon). I believe if someone says to you "This is fine weather", you can also reply "Which I receive with joy."

The Reverend burned my books in his testier last years, so I cannot double check.

Isn't this one of those goth salutations that Rev. Rauenmoon uses?

We are not interested in your goth gibberish, and we do not appreciate chinks who derail threads. The topic here had NOTHING to do with the sin of gothism. So bugger off boy.

    There is hope for you.

In my first day here I received 4 infractions and look at me now.

You must suffer corrective discipline to become a True Christian. Remember always that as harsh as it may seem, it is delivered lovingly by Landover's True Christians.

The process may be harsh, but the rewards are eternal.
