While the rest of the country has lurched magnificently to the right and elected Republicans, my home state has remained stubbornly blue, giving the Democrats a mandate to continue raising taxes and keeping God out of public life.

Heck the crazy communists in Berkeley have even instituted a tax on soda pop.

Just please pray that I can get out of here soon. I have no plan, but I'm relying on God to provide, for He is a way-maker.

Brother FM, I lifted you in prayer moments ago so I would imagine you'll be leaving California pretty soon. The BIBLE tells us that if we agree here on earth, He will make it so - and not in a Star Trek kind of way, but in a very real way, since the Bible and Star Trek are quite opposite from each other.

Although we might compare our prayers to a phaser; when we aim it at the devil, he is put on stun and he has to flee. Do you have a phaser? Yes you do! It's the HOLY BIBLE, and you can aim it at the state of Calipornia, commanding it to move like the mountains as long as you have mustard seeds sprinkled on top of those fervent prayers.

Brother FM, let's pray together: Lord Jesus, Whose faithfulness never faileth, won't you deliver my brother from the evilness that is the Golden State? Won't you even now, through the power of Your Spirit, set things in motion so that by this time tomorrow, a plan has miraculously been shewn unto Brother Faith Machine? We know it is within Your power to hear and answer prayer in a miraculous way. We claim this promise in the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen!

I'd be packing if I were you, Faith Machine! You're as good as gone from your current foul state.

I'm stuck here too. My husband is going to stay here for as long as the Lord tells him to, and of course, I am as well. I am happy to obey Him, and that's all I have to say.

I advise a swift departure, as the Lord must be wroth beyond all understanding with the wicked citizenry of California. It's proximity to the very handy Pacific Ocean leads me to believe that the Lord will likely send California and possibly the rest of the West Coast to the bottom of the sea.

That is what makes California, with its Governor, Jerry Brownfromanalsex, look so foolish. They stick there fingers in Jesus' eye while sitting there under all the weapons He has to punish them.

God has choices in California. Mudslides, tsunamis, rain torrents and the current punishment, draught.

I would advise, pack the wagons and head for Freehold.

Mayor, sadly, I don't think I could move, given that I am still a Forum member and have not been redeemed through the birth and raising of sons yet. In addition, the Lord wills my husband to be here. Would you eventually consider allowing my family to move out there, if the Lord wills we move?

Mr Mayor, Sir, I pray that you are right that those of us who are not yet in Freehold will be joining you there very soon. As you know, there are many True Christians™ still working outside of Freehold - on missionary work or in other important areas - all of us striving for the greater Glory of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are raising 8 children - 11, if you include my 3 stepdaughters - in Godless England. It is not easy, but it can be done and my dear husband assures me that we will be called to Freehold when his work here is completed and the Lord thinks it appropriate.

Sister Elizabeth (Mrs Johnson! ), have no fear and trust in your husband's judgment.

Well put, Elizabeth. Why, did you know Pastor Zeke once had to get a temporary restraining order against me because of how much I idolized him? That's all water under the bridge now, but the whole matter provided a powerful lesson on what can happen when even a Christian as sincere as I am takes his focus off of Jesus.

Goodness, Brother FaithMachine, in all the girly chit-chat we seem to have completely forgotten that this thread is all about you!

My husband wonders what exactly is keeping you, a True Christian(TM), in California? Do you have a job there - a proper job, a Godly job worth doing, that is - or do you have any other reason to stay? Because there are always openings for TCs in Freehold. If it comes down to the bus fare, just let us know.

But I think you are somewhere near Iowa right now, trying to rescue dear Cookie. Why not just make your way directly to Freehold rather than going back to California?

Bless you, Joanna. I was recently let go from my job as a youth counselor, so I guess that's one less thing to draw me back to California. I do, however, feel my weekend street corner preaching ministry at the corner of Castro and Market Streets in San Francisco has brought God's message of love to a lot of people.

And, of course, I would have to head back to California to pick up my beloved cat. The widow who lives up the street is watching him for me while I'm out of town. I do so love Mr. Lamby Chops. He is about as devoted to Jesus as any cat could be, and I feel certain he will be with me in Heaven, as long as he keeps upping his game in the praise department.

Oh yes, he is actually something of a rescue cat. He had belonged to a gay teenager I had been working with. Sadly, after hearing from me about God's opinion on sodomy, the youth chose the coward's way out, and ended his own life. His parents were going to surrender his cat to the pound, but I just couldn't allow such a thing.

Mr. Lamby Chops and I have been inseparable ever since.

Quite frankly, I think my cat was thrilled to get out of that liberal household.

Make sure that cat isn't filled with demons! Have it checked out by a True Christian pastor, and get an exorcism just in case!
