The Greenland? Alaska? I'm sure Donald felt reassured returning to USA from the latter. He said so, didn't he?

I can't remember, either. Those Jews all look alike to me.

President Trump authored the best seller, The Art of the Deal, but he has been unable to make a deal with Putin on Ukraine. Whenever Putin and Trump get ready to close a deal the Ukrainian Prime Minister (name starts with a Z, can't remember much else) inserts himself and messes it up. It seems to me Trump could offer Putin a big chunk of Canada if Putin gives up on Ukraine. Canada is huge so the U. S. does not need all of it.

Mr. Trump is showing the wisdom of the phrase, in the Bible somewhere: "If you owe the bank 1 million dollars you're in trouble. If you owe the bank 1 billion dollars the bank's in trouble." Canada's in trouble, they owe us big.

Canada is ripe for an invasion. It has now declared U.S. beer, wine and spirits will no longer be sold in that frozen country! That move is outside the ethical standards of international relationships. The U.S. ships tank loads of Jack Daniels, Budweiser and Sam Adams up there. Our distillers and brewers depend on that market. To take away that big market because Canada has some little tiff over Trump's tariffs is not tolerable. If a draft is needed to staff up the U.S. Army for the invasion, space in Freehold's City Hall is available for an induction center. Bring it on, Canada.

American alcohol pulled from shelves in some Canadian provinces amid Trump's tariffs

Oh, I don't think that we would want that sin-loving Canada to be part of our glorious — not for two seconds. Call me old-fashioned, but what we need are more citizens and lawmakers — and not a bunch of -bound hockey players and lumberjacks ruining things for us. And, as for the Canadian intention to improve border security, well, they are not taking that seriously, despite the insistence of our dear President Trump. I mean, just look at how they are going about building a border wall!

Why not get rid of a potential terrorist threat or possible drug smuggling ring and move on to the next issue.
Just think of what our Armed Forces are up against in taking Canada, the Canadian Mounted Police. They are probably right now preparing for battle by grooming their horses.

Why not just buy the oil?

I think we need to seriously start thinking about what Canada does for us. I mean, actually does not some theoretical concept. We know for a fact they have our oil that we need. What's to stop the greatest military the likes of which the world has never seen from waltzing over the border and taking it? I'd like to see Canada take defense seriously by investing in a fantastic wall, or perhaps a nice canal with free passage for American ships.

Talking of canals, Mr. Trump is right to suggest the possibility of taking over the Mexican/Chinese so-called "Panama" canal named after the famous hat. If Mr. Putin is allowed to get Crimea, we ought to get "Panama" canal as part of the deal. Or Greenland. Named after the famous color "Green", as everyone knows.

At least we're having the conversation now.
