I get the sense you're frustrated with the irrelevance of yourself and your religion in the modern world so you decide to take it out on everything else, the sooner you realize that the vast majority of people today understand that they are free to think for themselves and don't see a use in a religion that ties them down the better off you'll be.

I understand there is a “Burning Man” event taking place in the desert and when they ‘burn the man’ everyone is under the influence of this weed. They call this Mecca a commune of love, are they all gay hippies?

I went to Burning Man to witness three years ago. What a nightmare!

First of all, it's segregated. When you arrive, they ask you who you are. I told them I was Pastor of a small church in Indiana, and told them all about my truck stop ministry. They were very interested when I told them I'd had nine men crying out for Jesus just the night before, and then gave me directions to an area where I'd be with "my kind of people".

I pulled into the campsite and got set up. Soon, I noticed that ALL the campers around me were men. (Genetically, at least!) I engaged a few of them in conversation and learned that they were Christian Sodomites, a new God-mocking group like the Radical Faeries, only a bit more normal-acting. Other than the sodomy.

They explained the reason for the name "Burning Man". Seems it refers to a few things. The first, the intense sunlight. It's hot during the day. No sunscreen? You're BURNING, man!

Second, the marijuana. "Smoking a doobie" is nowadays called "burning one".

Third, the figure they light on fire, inspired by the documentary "The Wicker Man". They stopped putting a real man in it after the first couple of years.

Fourth, and most disturbing . . . The urethral infections and other STDs they get from their drug-fueled orgies. And I know they happen, I saw several! I was left speechless with disgust.
