The age of a man's wife is no importance. What matters is the strength of her back the fervor of her passion and conviction for God.
A wife (or at least one of the wives) must be sufficiently young as to be able to properly take of her husband in his senior years. A smart man, when planning his family once he has turned 18 must take this into consideration. Additionally, when done early enough, dowry can be reduced due to the early committal.

There is more to a union than just the woman. There is the judgment of her husband and his wifes' to be father. Even if (and this is a stretch) a woman was mentally on the same level a a man, there are two men's minds to her one.

Actually, the younger a person is, the harder it is control them and have them toe the line. Don't you think it would be so much easier to have a new bride in her 40's or 50's? She would be set in her ways as a good wife. A young wife can only learn by example of her mother and at an early age, cannot be expected to of learned much. It is a true testament to new husband to be willing to take a young bride under his tutelage.

One review of the literature concludes that research on personality correlates and psychopathology in pedophiles is rarely methodologically correct, in part owing to confusion between pedophiles and child sex offenders, as well as the difficulty of obtaining a representative, community sample of pedophiles.[5] Seto (2004) points out that pedophiles who are available from a clinical setting are likely there because of distress over their sexual preference or pressure from others. This increases the likelihood that they will show psychological problems. Similarly, pedophiles recruited from a correctional setting have been convicted of a crime, making it more likely that they will show anti-social characteristics.[6]
