Is it wrong to take hydrocodone?

A woman who lives a few doors down was in a terrible accident. She was burned while trapped in a car and pinned down for hours under the wreckage. I offered to help with household chores (at market rate, of course - white rates not mexican). Anyway a few days ago while cleaning her bathroom I noticed she has a large supply of hydrocodone.

Since then I can't sleep at night. I keep thinking about the pills. I've taken a one or two while in the house, when I get a sore back or headache or something, plus a few for later. But now it's 1am and I am all out. I should go back in the house, check she's OK and get a few pills, right? I should go there right now! I have a mask just in case.

Brothers I need your help - I don't think I can wait until the morning.

Dear friend, do you know what happens to people who seek secular medicine instead of faith healing?

2 Chron. 16:12-13: And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease [was] exceeding [great]: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians. And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

I completely agree with the good Pastor. Secular medicine is nothing more than an imaginery cure.
As far as taking Hydrocodone, I do not not see anything wrong with it as long as you do not expect it create miracles. I have been taking it for years and my life is not any different.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Friend Donkey, there is a difference between "taking" (that is, ingesting) hydrocodone and "stealing" hydrocodone.

Do you have this woman's permission to take some of her pills?

Stealing is wrong. But I don't see why you couldn't buy them from her, or maybe you could use a little "gentle persuasion" to get her to give you the pills.

If you are unable to hold yourself back from stealing a narcotic then you should look at a "Drug Addiction Pamphlet" Do you sense an urge/craving for this strong and lethal substance? For the drug consists of STRONG opiates and for those who are unable to cease the ingestion of said drug, MUST have an ADDICTION. Sir, are you addicted to this drug? I suggest you bend your knees and pray to the Lord in order for Him to reduce your pain, rather than some narcotic.
