No where in the bible do it say 'yes' or 'no' to this practice. What is Landover Baptist's stance on this practice? Is it the one thing Muslims got right?

As a Christian, I am in favor of female circumcision. Women don't need clitorises to make babies. All clitorises do is lead women into sin and perversion. Better that we just nip the problem in the bud, if you ask me.

Between birth control on-demand and being allowed to keep their clitorises, the women of our nation are being turned into a bunch of sluts and whores.

FGM is typically carried out on girls from a few days old to puberty. It may take place in a hospital, but is usually performed, without anaesthesia, by a traditional circumciser using a knife, razor, or scissors. According to the WHO, it is practiced in 28 countries in western, eastern, and north-eastern Africa, in parts of the Middle East, and within some immigrant communities in Europe, North America, and Australasia.[2] The WHO estimates that 100–140 million women and girls around the world have experienced the procedure, including 92 million in Africa.[1]
The WHO has offered four classifications of FGM. The main three are Type I, removal of the clitoral hood, almost invariably accompanied by removal of the clitoris itself (clitoridectomy); Type II, removal of the clitoris and inner labia; and Type III (infibulation), removal of all or part of the inner and outer labia, and usually the clitoris, and the fusion of the wound, leaving a small hole for the passage of urine and menstrual blood—the fused wound is opened for intercourse and childbirth.[3] Around 85 percent of women who undergo FGM experience Types I and II, and 15 percent Type III, though Type III is the most common procedure in several countries, including Sudan, Somalia, and Djibouti.[4] Several miscellaneous acts are categorized as Type IV. These range from a symbolic pricking or piercing of the clitoris or labia, to cauterization of the clitoris, cutting into the cooter to widen it (gishiri cutting), and introducing corrosive substances to tighten it.[3]
Opposition to FGM focuses on human rights violations, lack of informed consent, and health risks, which include fatal hemorrhaging, epidermoid cysts, recurrent urinary and cooterl infections, chronic pain, and obstetrical complications. Since 1979, there have been concerted efforts by international bodies to end the practice, including sponsorship by the United Nations of an International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation, held each February 6 since 2003.[5] Sylvia Tamale, a Ugandan legal scholar, writes that there is a large body of research and activism in Africa itself that strongly opposes FGM, but she cautions that some African feminists object to what she calls the imperialist infantilization of African women, and they reject the idea that FGM is nothing but a barbaric rejection of modernity. Tamale suggests that there are cultural and political aspects to the practice's continuation that make opposition to it a complex issue.[6]

It lowers a woman's sexual desire, which doesn't really matter to me, because women don't have a say in the matter.

From a strictly Biblical standpoint, it should really be up to a woman's husband whether or not she is allowed to keep her clitoris intact. I know I had my wife Cindy Lou circumcised before we conceived our first child together. After all, the whole point of childbirth is to make a woman suffer:

The same could be said for the woman's father if they aren't yet married. The best time to circumcise girls is when they are still young, before getting old enough to whore around, so it's unlikely they'd be married by then.

Circumcision makes sex less enjoyable and prevents female orgasm

I am also in favor of female genital cutting.

It's best if the procedure is done when the girl is born, so she won't even remember or care for some little tidbit of flesh.

Plus, I think it just looks better.

Brother Portway raised the very same topic here some time ago. I will just repeat here what I said then. Although female circumcision is a sound and safe medical procedure, in the current political climate, it is unlikely to gain favor in America.

The lesbian wing of Big Sodomy is much too powerful. Their three fingered attack on Christian morals (advocating masturbation, teaching lesbianism in schools, promoting promiscuity and abortion) are all based on the clitoris. This evil little bundle of nerves is the very heart of their sick and twisted agenda.
