I don't even know who the artists are, and I am not a fan of this music.
When you say "this music" which genre are you referring to? There are a few different styles cited, for instance Van Morrison is not like Lizzo.
TICK . .. Van Morrison . .. The Who . .. Serge Gainsbourg . .. Jane Birkin . .. Tomasz Stańko . .. Ben Vince . .. Nico . .. The Velvet Underground . .. Lizzo
This will help in assessing what you mean. For reference, you don't need to know who they are because examples of their work is provided. Some of it is minimalist (Tomasz Stańko) and some is so overdone that the melody disappears into the background (The Velvet Underground: Heroin) while others (Lizzo) are so gelatinous that a jellyfish would be envious.
Matthew 10:27b-28 What ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
There are exceptions like the great Johnny Rebel. Sadly those are few and the most rest is completely Jewish (which includes the oh so great Bob Dylan, and yes, Lou Reed was Jewish too). And don't even get me started on minimalism. 80 years ago it was called Entartete Kunst, and that for good. What happened to real white music? It does exist tho, here is our maybe last hope.
Dear Miss LW: Can you please explain to me why this Bob Dylan person is considered to be "oh so great"? I have never understood the appeal that he has to some people. Now, I do recall when I first heard of him around 1967. Heavens above, all of a sudden attention had shifted from my beloved Pat Boone and Perry Como to whatever mumbling and off-key "singing" that this Dylan person was doing. And, certainly, the video clip below does not help to explain any of his so-called greatness; so, I remain as mystified as ever. I do thank you in advance, Dear.

I can't explain either. The majority seems to love to be brainwashed.

This thread keeps getting off track. Just a couple of examples so let's focus on hats. Might as well. Everything else has been covered. “Hats?” “Covered?” Geddit?!!??!?!??! Is this the new tone we're going for? I pray that LW starts reading The Bible and develops opinions concerning various topics having been raised (but not necessarily addressed) so far.
