I have a concern as it pertains to bluegrass music. I have noticed that there are certain groups who incorporate, what they consider, Christian songs into their secular music. Can anyone give any insights into this?

It depends on how the words "bluegrass" and "Christian" are defined. Not everyone uses the words in the same way. Again, different generations will use a word to signify quite different styles. "Swing" and "R&B" are two instances of that.
Do you have an example you could share?

MitzaLizalor,
Well, I guess I'll use Dailey & Vincent, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage as a pair of examples since they are rather popular (Why I'll never know). What I am curious about is they claim to glorify Jesus in their music, but, yet they sing secular music. I, for one, don't really buy it, but, that's just my worthless thought. This goes for different groups that are out there say Bill Monroe, Doyle Lawson, people from that time period. I don't know if this helps or not.

Ugh, I can't stand bluegrass. Obnoxious hick music on primitive instruments. Give me a Village People tune anytime.

Re: Bluegrass music in general.
I've been analyzing the stuff called "bluegrass" for a while to watch Satan's influence. You posters are correct in observing there are performers pretending to be Christian.
But, there is a new and even more disturbing development. The music has a strong tradition of being performed by males--nary a female performing it anywhere.
Now, besides Rhonda Vincent their are young women stealing the music from the men who developed it. And, these younger women do not bother with the pretense of Christian themes. The worst one I'm studying these days is named Sierra Hull:
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

You do understand the Village People are not Christian right? There is a really great thread. Now my sweet friend Mrs. White gave a few examples of what is actual Christian Music. Listen to the likes of Jake Hess & Vestal Goodman, and the like. You'd be amazed! Trust me!

Instead of worrying about me, You need to be worrying more about your Salvation. You're the one bringing this unwanted attention to yourself! Oh and I do have a newsflash......God is also following you too! Do bear that in mind!

Re: Bluegrass music in general.
Thank you for that lovely music video, Mrs. White.
Gospel choirs are an image of life.
Painted eyebrows were a trend 30 years ago.

I hope this guy had Hucker insurance when he got hit by a golf club.

I think this one crapped his pants and woke up with a start.

Isn't it awfully nice to not know when the head ends and neck begins?

Is that Vincent Price?

Is that Elaine Benes from Sienfield?

She's the prettiest one in this gaggle.

Lastly, every gospel choir needs a token negress. (Is that Ron Jeremy behind her?)

When Vestal sings it is surely the sound of angels. Notice, no blue grass banjos or mandolins when she sings.Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. Very appropriate to scold Mr. Hucker, Sister White. A couple of those he made light of are from the Jordanaires, a favorite quartet of Jesus.Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
