The "people" of Iceland are really showing their true colors--- rude, disrespectful, ignorant, intolerant of other people's faith, potty-mouthed, and sinful to the core. They are needlessly abusive, threatening, insulting, and intolerant even as they seek to force their atheism, sinfullness, and immorality on us.

My conclusion is that there is absolutely nothing harmful for children in this show, you people are all just over reacting over a kid show because you all apparantly lack the intelligence to comprehend it.

You base your conclusion on your premises, which have already been refuted. This is called an informal fallacy. Secondly, insulting our intelligence falls under "ad hominem", another fallacy where one attacks the person, not the argument.

So in one paragraph alone, you already have two major fallacies... and yet you accuse us of using fallacies. I for one am puzzled.

Oh, and by the way, it's "apparEntly", not "apparAntly". Might be nice to check your spelling if you're going to call people stupid.

I would like to address the matters which have been greatly ignorant misunderstandings, but can only address a few of all the outrageous statements you people have made.

To begin with the name of the show is Lazy Town. This is not to encourage kids to be lazy. The original play (it was originally a play for theaters) took place in a town where all the kids were so lazy and just stayed at home watching TV and playing computer games, eating candy and leading unhealthy lives. Then sportacus appeared and tought the kids to play games, be outside, eat healthy and play sports. This play then spun into a sequal, which turned into a TV show, which turned into an international TV series.

This show preaches healthy life, friendship and working together.

There are various cartoons out there which defy the rules of nature, such as donald duck wearing a sailor suit. It is the same case with Stephanie.

There are some perverted people on the internet which have established some pedophilic notion of Stephanie's character, but that doesn't make it true. Just because some people agree on something,, doesn't neccesarilly make it true.

And the fact that the role of Stephanie is played by a mexican and someone stated that mexicans had managed to illigally immigrate from Mexico to Iceland, that was just plainly ignorant.

I am icelandic and proud of it. I was raised in this beautiful country and I love it no more than you people love your homeland. I am not christian, I am not religious but as a child I was very religious. I was brought up in a strictly catholic family.

It is my opinion that religion is ignorant and obsolete in modern society. I think there is no god, nor ever was. Christianity itself is based upon the same principles as ancient ancient religions you lot concider pagan, kind of hyppocritical don't you think? Of couse there are a few cases of intelligent christian people, but I think it's rare. I mean look at you lot as an example. Do you think you are intelligent? I read this forum and thought I could enjoy it as a novelty but alas, I can not.
Before you start assaulting me and saying things that are not true, I will say that I have had a Christian upbringing and have read the bible, so your throwing bible phrases at me won´t work.
First of all, I´d like to say that this show is, in fact, a children´s show. You may all be so overly alert to anything that you could interpret as sexual that you see sexual predator's robbing children of their innocence on every corner but I can assure you that the children do not. Children like this show because it has music, and dancing, and believe it or not, it's message of "get out" does not stand for "become gay" but rather "stay healthy, stay social, don't let life pass you by as you sit in front of an emotionless screen, go out and play!". Though I will not say I care for your homophobia, homosexuality is not the underlying message of this show. So you can relax.
Also, the fact that you see a little girl in a costume and your mind immediately jumps to sex and fornication speaks louder of your mind than it does of the young girl in question.
I'd like to add a little about the Icelandic nation, which you in you ignorance and lack of knowledge have been debating. Many of the Icelandic settlers were indeed Vikings, that is true. But weren't the first people to "discover" America ( that is, the first ones to come there after the millenia tha Indians and Incas, Mayas, Azteks and more had been there, and the first ones to see it after some trips made by Icelandic men like Leif the lucky) spanish conquistadors? People that went about, murdered and robbed, until less than 10% of the original population was left? Weren't it your oh so blessed christian forefathers among those who stole from the Native Americans, herded them like cattle, sent them off to uninhabitable tiny spots of land and robbed them of everything? Does the bible not say "Judge not, lest ye be judged"?
Instead of sitting around, nurturing insane notions and paranoia, maybe you should try to open your eyes and see that not everything on this earth is made to turn children into spawns of Hell. If God is powerful, then you should trust that he could keep such evil things at bay. If God is not, well then maybe you should try a new religion. I hear buddhism is pretty peaceful, no evil agents of hell there.
