God doesn't want to "make it friendly for everyone." Let me tell you a little story.

Under God's direction, Moses' army defeats the Midianites. They kill all the adult males, but take the women and children captive. When Moses learns that they left some live, he angrily says: "Have you saved all the women alive? Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." So they went back and did as Moses (and presumably God) instructed, killing everyone except for the virgins. In this way they got 32,000 virgins --captive girl children virgins! Numbers 31:1-54

      God plays for keeps, boy.
      Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

those 30-somethings living with their parents... they're pathetic. oh wait - jesus fits that description perfectly.

I wish to never be even remotely associated in any way with your violent deity.

These are the kind of scriptures you should avoid mentioning instead of bragging about - and then you have the nerve to judge violence in other contexts, such as this innocent entertainment medium. As for video games having an effect on impressionable young minds, what about a verse such as this force fed to young children? What is even far worse is that you indoctrinate children that something like this is ok because it is in The Bible. What moral values does this passage teach, if not violence and vengeance? This mentality is completely unacceptable in the 21st century, especially when it comes from a first world country (I'm assuming you are American).

Is it a coincidence people on this board seem to have a fondness for firearms? Sorry for that generalizing comment, but I saw a user's banner on this forum - something about guns, christ and the 2nd amendment! If the moderators of this forum are comfortable with that kind of content, it can only be interpreted as a message they endorse.

And what about this smiley you have here:

I'd better stop here now because my post is becoming incoherent due to the shocking content I have found here... and believe me, I lurk...

This post caught my eye, recently my younger brother and his friends started to play this game, among other demonic games, no matter how much i tried to help them by explaining the dangers of these games they wouldnt listen to me. I found some companies who make christian-only games and decided to share them with them. they seemed to find them amusing, hopefully they will stop playing the devil ones.

I just want to say that oblivion its not a bad game to play. I mean, there is maybe witchcraft, but i think that the developers wanted to take an other name instead of spell and not other names that we always see. In fact, oblivion is the 1st game where i saw witchcraft so i didnt really care and i didnt try to relate it to something else to make it seem bad. I dont want to know what is witchcraft, but in oblivion, its a game so i still dont know what it is.

Fire ball out of the hand of our character, in any RPG medieval time game, we always have he fire ball spell. Its like a rule. Just like having lightning, wind and any kind of element. An rpg medieval fantazy game never miss one basic spell elements so it dont really count. Its also a spell to beat ice elemental monsters. All elemental spells are made to beat a monster elemental.

The elf picture that you posted, i never saw that elf when i played oblivion. They dont look like that. They are suppose to have the same colour as humans and normal eyes colour, but not red. I was a redguar BTW, but everytime i saw those elf, they was always innocent. I never had to fight one in the game because i was a good character. I always did good stuff and close each oblivion gates to save the world.

Like i said, i was a redguar and those race dont need to learn witchcraft to be strong. So for the whole game, all i needed is upgrading my armors and combat skills. The only spell i had was self healing just to rest after each combat, but the redguar are really weak on magic just like they are not suppose to know how to do a single magic.

I was 15 years old when i played that game and all i did was good stuff with my barbarian.

For the god part, its a game. When we play a game, we are not in the real life anymore. So adding other gods is not a problem as long that you dont take the game too seriously and pray for these gods while you get heal. Its not like i did look at these gods to represent my real god so i didnt break any bible rules. I dont even know who is the that night mother, but i heard about her in game, but never saw her. This might be because i was good.
Leviticus 18:23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

No, I never named myself that. I was bestowed this title by my loving brothers and sisters here at Landover. I think it's fair to consider me God's Own Mouthpiece since everything I do is Biblically correct and good in God's eyes, so I like to think of myself as a representative of God on this Earth.

I did not take that picture. I found it online. Also, that's not an elf, that's a demon.

Very good. God does approve of magic in certain circumstances, the story of Moses for one. It's not hypocritical because God realizes magic is very powerful and destructive and should only be used if He specifically allows it. Witchcraft and Oblivion seek to circumvent God's Laws by doing magic and witchcraft on their own terms.
This is my first post on these forums. I did read in a response within this thread that I am supposed to post an introduction in your introductions section. I was unable to find this section, and I apologize. Does it still exist? If so, would someone please provide me with a link? In the meantime, I will post a brief introduction. I am a 26 year old man, living in the Northeast. This October, I will be marrying the love of my life (my high school sweetheart). I work as a financial representative, helping people to make sure they are saving enough money for retirement, and ensuring that their families will be well taken care of should God call them home.

Now, with that done, I would like to offer my perspective on some of the things that have been said within this thread.

Reverend, based upon what you have written here, it seems to me that you are claiming a level of personal perfection that is reserved for God alone. Are you truly without sin? If everything you do is "Biblically correct," then you are (unless you consider original sin). Personally, I subscribe to the (biblical) notion that Jesus died to save us from our sinful selves. If you are, as you seem to be describing yourself, without sin, then what need have you for God? Or are you, in fact, God?

Further, you claim that the AV 1611 KJ Bible is the only true Scripture. I won't argue with you about the difficulties in translating any language into English with absolute perfection. I will, however, suggest to you that you might be well served by reading the Bible in either Aramaic or Hebrew (possibly Greek), as any of those three languages would be at least two steps closer to the original texts than anything you have read in English. Your admonition to another poster in this thread that he should study English is disingenuous at best. Jesus, for certain, did not speak English. Nothing written about Jesus in the time in which he was alive was written in English. These two facts can be stated with certainty, as English, as it is written in the AV 1611 KJ Bible, did not exist.

Regarding Capt. A. Portway: Your refusal to "read a stupid rebuttal to a post that (you) totally agree with by a man (you) respect" indicates a certain level of intellectual cowardice. If you are certain of your beliefs, why are you unwilling to read and counter the arguments of the ignorant?

Regarding MOMOwheeler: I find it interesting that you quote this particular bit of Scripture (albeit with your own, very clever, personal touch):

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.... asshole.
                              -Matthew 7:1-2

Now, personally, I don't entirely see where you're coming from. You are using Scripture to counter a (fairly stupid) comment comparing your church to Republicans. That's fine and dandy, and intellectually honest. Then you cap your statement with a nasty, derogatory comment. In every sense of the word, you have judged your opponent to be an "asshole."

To all members of this church: I am not attempting to shake your beliefs (I know that's impossible). Frankly, I wouldn't want to shake your beliefs in the slightest. I am simply asking you to make sure that your beliefs are internally consistent.
