Riverside may be in the same state as Landover Baptist Church, but they are beyond the pale when it comes to stupidity. They have decided that Capt. James T. Kirk -- a fictional character-- will someday be born in their township limits. Talk about crazy, incredulous stuff. How can people in this modern age believe such nonsense?
They claim that Kirk will be born in Riverside in the year 2228, which is ridiculous because we all know that Jesus will return long before that. As soon as Trump and the Supreme Court have made sure that the whole world has heard the Good News about Our Lord and Savior, Jesus will be charging through the sky on a beautiful steed, not a space ship. And He will wield a flaming sword, not a "phaser"; which I have learned is a fancy name for a ray gun.
Just how close is Riverside to Landover, anyway? Maybe someone should visit and leave Gospel tracts next to all those goofy, yet still idolatrous displays.
