Why must I explain the Bible every time some newbie comes on here? Can't you kids be bothered to read it for yourselves and ask us what a verse means? It's a big book and difficult to quote so many passages at once. Make some effort and read it yourself.

I'll repeat myself; the presence of a snake does not mean that the devil is signified, and the bible never states that it is. Satan is portrayed as a snake in the bible. Not every snake on the damn earth is satan and it would be stupid to say otherwise.

Are you really going to make your whole argument rest on the idea of symbolism? On the idea that since Morrison talked about snakes, he must have been in league with the devil?

Oh, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the bible teaches of love, of acceptance. Of loving your neighbor as yourself. Let me know when you find a part of the bible which specifically states that any reference to a snake is a sign of the devil's presence. To say such a thing would be ignorant.

Surely, the snake is indeed the symbol of evil. Of the devil, the same way that the cross is the symbol of Christ. But every time you see two lines crossing, it does not imply that christ is behind the symbol, even though it technically fits the definition of a cross.

The definition of a friend is relative. And truely, a friend is someone who will support you through whatever you decide to do in life. Whether or not that is the one true definition of the word "friend", any man who accomplishes this is truely a man worthy of of the title.
