However, extensive research and prayer (mostly prayer, praise Him), have led me to conclude this game is a recruiting tool for necrophiliacs. That's right.

Most if not all of the zombies in this game are scantily dressed and are basically there to entice young boys to engage in sexual relations with corpses.

    Observe:

This abomination is called a witch apparently, and is not only a plug for necrophilia but witchcraft as well, which the Bible specifically condemns:

Notice this zombie shamefully exposing her midsection. I can promise you that most young men had never seen this much of a woman revealed prior to buying this game.

Let's face it. Sex sells. And this thing's only purpose is to rape players over and over:

Finally I've attached an image I found and saved to my computer so that I can be reminded daily how offensive this game is. This really says it all:

"Hey kids, kill policemen and military officials!"

Valve software is raising a generation of domestic terrorists!
Have you played the game? I've played about 80 hours and fyi, the "Rapist" zombie is a special infected called a Jockey, basically his task his to steer a survivor to away from the other survivors or steer one towards danger.

Sorry for the double post, but I also forgot to mention that Columbine happened a whole 6 years (or was it five?) after the release of the game, not immediately after its release. By 1999, many other games had been released, but since they just happened to play Doom, the media tried to link the fact with the event.

If anything, the game probably quenched many religious folks' desires to rid the world of and punish demons. I know that was certainly one of my favorite parts about the game.

    Thank you for agreeing!

Personally, I think your signature's quote with that individual stating that you're the most intelligent person here is spot-on, sir

    As to Mr. Osborne's post,

If Doom had effects on the behavior of so many people, why didn't America have millions of shooting sprees in the 1990s? The game sold many copies, and yet the most that ended up happening that could even remotely be linked to Doom was Columbine, and in that case, both Harris and Klebold were both shown to have a history of mental problems and clinical depression before the game ever existed.

I'd say the vast majority of people out there (we're talking millions here, sir) didn't go and kill people after playing the game. All Doom players, except a handful of the wackos, are, as we speak, continuing their lives normally just like any of us.

    Great. So it's pro-communism
    How does it support communism?

and teaches children that women are terrifying creatures that spit acid and were once used to store gardening implements.
No, plus there is a woman on your team. And I have no idea where you got the gardening thing from.

Sorry, but I'm tired of hearing this irrational argument from video game supporters. No one is saying a video game will make everyone want to kill, and just because you didn't feel the effects, doesn't mean it doesn't happen to others.

It's the old, illogical argument: I do X, and Y has never happened, so X does not cause Y.

Let's apply this in different cases. How about drunk driving? "I always drive drunk and I've never been in a car accident. Therefore it's stupid to think that drunk driving kills people."

"I've swam in the ocean many times and have never been attacked by a shark. So it's obvious that sharks never attack people."

"I played a game of Russian Roulette once and I survived. People that say Russian Roulette kills are just idiots!"

I know this isnt' exactly related, but it deals with video games, so here goes:

As a kid, I played Doom. All the time. Doom 2 was another great game.
And you know something funny? I never had the urge to bring a gun to school and go on a shooting spree.
I still play, and in fact, just played a little while ago, and I don't feel driven to go on a murdering spree around my neighborhood or bow down and worship Satan.

I enjoy killing demons. Because that's what you do. You KILL them and send them back to Hell where they belong. You don't assist them in their evil deeds. So why is it that the game was under such heavy fire in the early '90s?
    I'm just curious about this.
Is it perhaps the use of Satanic (well, more accurately, just Occult) imagery? Because I can tell you right off that that's just a touch of realism to it. If hellish Demons invaded the earth, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be toting around Crosses and chanting prayers and hymns.

Also, this game incorporates teamwork. It supports people to share the things people have. It also helps people to listen carefully, because the stronger, mutated infected make unique sounds. Also, the thing with the pink thong is the Spitter, she spits acid. No one would find her hot. That's too show her background as, well, most likely a "hoe-bag".

Yes, that sounds perfect for Christian kids.
