Abba is also the Aramaic word for Father and is used in the New Testament several times referring to God. So using it for the band name is blasphemy.

I'm obviously a God fearing man now and have changed my ways but as young man I had a huge crush on the really hot blonde one in Abba. I think his name was Benny.
