Joking aside, one positive thing I realized about rock is, of course, Ted Nugent, but also the patriotism of Lynyrd Skynyrd, who even rebuked Neil Young. And that comes from someone who lives where the goldy South and even godlier Midwest cross; Owensboro, KY. Even one of the few True Christians™ in carsports, Darrell Waltrip, is from there.

Thank Jesus for your encouragement! After taking a listen to the second video, my mouth literally dropped to the floor like what in Jesus' Name is this noise? As for the first video, I could listen to them all day long! A real class group that is used by Jesus to get His message to the sinners in this world! I honestly wish there were more like these fine ladies who are giving Jesus' the respect and love HE so richly deserves! I believe, in my heart of hearts, that the feel-good nonsense out there has no place in this country! Is it no wonder that we have so much sin in this world?

Oh, you are as welcome as the flowers in May, dear Mr. White. I am happy that you feel that that "feel-good nonsense" has no place in this great nation of -- let alone, the church! Now, I have never understood why some people have to get so carried away; gracious sakes! For one thing, is not deaf! Oh, I know they will say it's due to the "Spirit" but, those of us who are followers of Almighty , know that those people are delusional; not to mention, a term used by a dear friend (Sister Hortense), which is that they are "emotional basket-cases".

As you shall see in this attached video clip of a church service oween party, this sort of nutty behavior is not uncommon, sad to say.

As for secular music.....I have no interest in secular music so I have never heard of the likes of Con-ya, Steven, etc. All the better for me as a Christian.

I am happy that you know of those great musicians that I have mentioned. There is nothing that pleases more than when people sing unto . But, I am astounded when I hear someone take a beautiful song of praise and then turn it into a tasteless travesty. I shall include two examples here. The first one is of a dedicated group of women bringing praise and honor to the . How this makes so happy! The second one is of a group of hooligans (singing the same song as the ladies in the first video) making a mockery of this great song of praise. How the must grieve!

Could I possibly have some suggestions as to what groups are the best to listen to in Gospel music? I've never been into that feel good contemporary stuff. I want to have something that tells it like it is and doesn't have a feel good tone to it.

Oh, this is such a nice topic, isn't it, dear Mr. White? My graciousness, the good does love it so when people sing praises unto . Why, as you no doubt are aware, the has several writings to inspire the people of to sing unto in

Psalm 105:2 "Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works."

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

There are many wonderful singers who lend their talents to the ministry of the . You will none better than the likes of Pat Boone, Tom Netherton, Norma Zimmer, Dale & Roy Rogers, Vestal Goodman, Jake Hess, and so many more.

And, just as there are such excellent singers that the uses for glory, there are just as many who do not glorify the , not in any way at all. For example, any of those "secularized gospel" singers, such as the ones who have left the church for the seeking of commercial fame, are to be avoided. And, people who are not truly musical, but who just holler and yell, are also to be ignored. Some examples include that Con-yay West person, Rita Franklin, Steven Wonders, and others that I care not to mention.

Do you listen to that on your car cassette tape slot, Mrs. White?

No, Mr. Hucker, I do not listen to that on my car cassette tape slot. You see, Dear, my 1950 Packard does not have such a contraption installed within its luxurious, pristine interior.

How I do listen to it is on my old RCA record player (the one that plays the 78 rpm records). But, I do have it also on the computer in that M.P. three thingy, or whatever it is. As a matter of fact, I'm listening to it right now, and giving praise to the for wondrous blessings -- which is something that I hope you will do, as well, once you take your writing project seriously.
