The Word of Notch is just that. His opinions and his updates on Minecraft and other stuff. It is his word about whatever the message he posts is about. With that being said as people "worshiping" him as a God, is just plain stupid. It is a joke among the players, that because he created a game, and people want to build things they just build in honour of Notch, as ruler or leader. Just like people have been doing for centuries.
