the nerd rage? yes...because I'm just so mad here. I didn't make him up in my head, I know him from the Bible, I know Obama from the TV screen, that doesn't make me agree with Obama nor does it make me agree with the shit the TV screen spews out (I think thats something we can actually agree on)

So if you know God from the Bible how can you say He doesn't hate queers like your brother? How can you ignore what He says about shunning atheists?

What special power do you have to know when God didn't mean what He says? Why does your God agree with you but not us?

You are entitled to choose Hell all you want but when you finally let the nerd rage dissipate you'll see that we are right and you are wrong about what God clearly states He wants in the only incontrovertible record of His desires that isn't just being made up in people like you's heads.

If we're ever going to have a consensus on what God wants instead of having people all over the world making up their own individual invisible friend in their heads that - shock horror - agrees with that person almost entirely and arguing over God because - well would you believe it - other people's made up gods can't possibly agree because they are made up then we have to go back to the Bible.

I mean where did you get the idea God exists from in the first place? Where did you first hear about Jesus?

The truth doesn't change just because you made up something inside your head, friend.

Just hope God doesn't kill you before you see the Truth® and your best way to do that is to read the Bible and see for yourself that we are right about what God actually wants from you.

Let me get this straight--you say that you believe in "God", but you choose to disagree with parts of the Bible.

Where, exactly did you stumble upon this idea of "God" if not for the ongoing, nearly universal cultural impact of the Bible?

For two thousand years, the words of the Bible have been read, printed, discussed, preached and utilized as the basis for social standards both commonly accepted and officially legislated. Unless you believe in Zeus, Shiva or Odin, the "God" that you are likely claiming to believe has been made known to mankind through the Bible.

How you can choose to to believe in God, that is, accept His existance, but reject His revelation about His own character, His creation and His Divine Law is beyond me. Who could be sure that God is real, but reject His authority?

And there are plenty more verses where that came from. There is even a whole book where Satan and God have conversations. So, you have to figure, just believing in the existance of God isn't the same as being right with Him.

To get right with God, you have to deny yourself and give everything that you have and that you are over to Him. And you can't please Him by refuting His commandments.

So, if you are going to choose to believe in God; don't you think that you ought to get to know Him properly? Once you get to know Him through His Own Revealed Eternal Word, then you will realize that He doesn't give you the option of disagreeing with Him. Through and through the Bible, there are stories demonstrating how God deals with those who deny Him-- and not just His existance, but His authority.

oh also, if Jesus loved me, then why would he laugh at my demise, and once again, God is the one to make the decision of whether or not I go to hell. so, in you saying that he will send me to hell, is wrong. Ok, i'll tell you guys my perspective, cause I'm tired of arguing.
Ok, first of all, I don't like how the bible says that homosexuals should be condemned/stoned what have you, second, the discrimination against all that don't believe in god is something that I don't agree with, I don't think anyone should be discriminated against no matter what. Everyone is equal, that is my belief. That's pretty much it, everything else I'm fine with, but why do we have to descriminate, and why must people force their religion on others?
But I do believe in God, I have no doubt that he exists. I just don't believe in all the things the bible says
