In the post you quoted I described some of the groups producing religious music. By group I do not mean pop-groups.

• Murder cults, some of which generate insane warblings, are on my list.
• Soporific dronings got a mention from the religion of psychoanalysis where they've invented something called "id" to substitute for God.
  • In it, they say, we live and move and have our being.
• OM is used as a mantra by many new-age and/or psychodynamic freak shows as well as by Buddhists. These are both false religions.
• Bahá'í Faith. Do they drone, sing or warble? I had no idea. So I checked. Yes they sing. It's dreadful.

Now if you say that these abandoned wretches extract "hope" from what they sing I will believe you. They must put up with it for some reason. The point however is not whether they get hope but whether their hope is justified. It is not justified because these are all false religions.

It's possible that pop-stars do have religious beliefs but those would usually be separate from their musical output. What they sing about, on the other hand, is not separate from the music. In a hypothetical scenario PERSON A follows RELIGION Z and the religion claims that Sredni Vashtar controls electricity which in our bodies releases godhead leading to pomegranates for everyone. The naturalist may say that in a sense electricity operating in the nervous system can indeed produce pomegranates through agricultural science. If we wanted a trillion pomegranates per month worldwide a moderate increase in production would be within our mental capacity to make it happen and the mental faculties are electrical. "If ya wanna externalise that as Sredni Vashtar so what?" our naturalist could continue but that is hardly the point. I am asking you to think about something else. Not pomegranates.


Think about PERSON A.
Regardless of what you or I think of RELIGION Z we can be certain PERSON A thinks it's sensible.
Indeed PERSON A thinks the whole universe is electric and Sredni Vashtar is infinity volts.


Now imagine what happens when PERSON A meets PERSON B who follows RELIGION Y.

Before we were Redeemed we knew the burden of sin, lived and breathed it, were conceived in it and had it coming for the entire six millennia of human existence because of a wilful act committed by a wretched fool who thought she knew better than God. Who sought to seduce others, although at that point there was only one other human and he was perfect. It is a pattern. Now it's the Christians who are perfect, not by our own efforts but by God's grace as confirmed in The Bible, and the impetus of corruption is reinforced at every opportunity by the pop music.

Jesus explains about the wailing. The gnashing of teeth.
