    One thing really bothers me about Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty's interview with GQ

    It isn't that he is pointing out that God hates homosexuality. It is that he was drunk while giving the interview.
    We all know how much homosexuality makes the Lord God's blood boil. We have documented it countless times.

    The problem is that Phil had been boozing it up with Drew Magary prior to telling the truth about the queer menace.

    "Whenever you meet face-to-face with people you don't necessarily see eye-to-eye with and talk to them and drink lots of beer with them, you're almost always more likely to understand them and like them. That's how it works," Magary writes.
    I am afraid this sort of thing makes us as Christians look hypocritical. I mean, how can he go around criticizing the queers while he is three sheets to the wind?

    The Bible warns us about being drunks. The Bible also warns us about judging hypocritically. Personally, I am afraid this man is no True Christian™ and he lacks the spiritual purity that we display.

    1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

    Titus 2:12 - Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    1 Peter 4:7 - But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

    Ephesians 5:18 - And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

    1 Peter 1:13 - Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
    I know I will be praying for Robertson to stop hitting the bottle, so he can be a better judge of what is right and wrong.

    I know we have no problem in showing where in both testaments of the Holy Bible that homosexuality is listed as a heinous sin worthy of death.

    Romans 1:26-28,32

    26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
    27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
    32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
    Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

    I'm not so sure that Robertson was hitting the bottle as he was hitting the jugs and mason jars with some of that moonshine. It also gets a little lonely out there in the wilderness away from the prying eyes of the revenuers tending the corn mash and stills, and there is a tendency to sample some of the product and get carried away with some of the brothers - especially considering that some of that camo clothing have drop seats (if you catch my drift here).

    I mean, how is he so certain that he prefers cooters as compared to rectums unless he's tried it - just saying anyway. The rest of us are content with just obeying the Bible (KJV1611).
    Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
    brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
    ...and get off my lawn

      As long as his anti-sodomite stance is consistent whether he's sober or drunk, I'm OK with it. I can't stand it when people are wishy-washy about such an important issue.

        Hey, some of us are at our best when we're three sheets to the wind. Just look at Phil Robertson.
        May you be a blessing to every life you touch.
