Help Me to Help My Friend

I know a guy - let's call him Barry for the sake of this question. He knows a very nice Christian man - we'll call him Dom - with whom he would like to form a VERY close friendship.


Nothing homer about that, right? I mean, lots of guys have very very very close friendships where they hug and share a tent and watch movies like "An Affair to Remember" or "Moment by Moment," (with the incredible chemistry of Lily Tomlin and John Travolta).


Well, Barry found out that Dom has a wife and kids and of course that's the natural order of things but Barry is noticing Dom talking to other guys and ignoring his phone calls and Barry is not obsessed over it or anything because that would be really gay and Dom just seems to take it all in stride as if because he's so far removed from the situation that Barry's feelings don't matter but they do and he just gets so caught up in it sometimes that he makes mix tapes and sends them by Fed Ex three or four times in one day and writes Dom's name over and over and over and over and imagines their lives together (as platonic friends, of course) and well it's just so hard for poor Barry and well I just feel so bad for him.


I guess twelve bouquets of roses that were sent don't mean CRAP and well I just wondered if you all would pray because the Bible tells us to pray for one another and it says a lot of stuff and well I need to go to my closet and pray.

What a luscious proposition! And I would LOVE to plan this journey. Your prayers for my friend are very much appreciated. Perhaps he'll find other ways of sublimating his sorrows. Tell me, what do you like to do on camping trips? And where do you go? I was thinking San Francisco, Key West, Fire Island, or Provincetown.

My goodness, sounds like your friend Barry is going through an absolutely terrible time. This Dom fellow sounds like an terrible Cad and a Rotter.


I hope he is careful while he is out hunting in the Adirondacks this weekend (he will, more than likely bring his whole family with him). They will be travelling in his Prevost H3-45 Quad Slide. It is blue with red and white trim. He will, more than likely, base his family and himself at the Grand Escape Lodge and Indoor Water Park. His probable itinerary will more than likely be as follows:
Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom (a Six Flags Amusement Park) with 300+ rides and 7 roller coasters.
Whitewater Rafting and Tubing
Garnet Mining
Painted Pony Championship Rodeo
Natural Stone Bridge & caves
The Fun Spot
Miniature Gold
Upper Hudson River Railroad
Railroads on Parade Museum
Fort William Henry
Up Yonda Farm
Thurman Farms Trio
Horseback Riding
Floating Classrooms
Ausable Chasm
Rock and Skate Forum
Magic Forest
Parasailing
Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course

Dude Ranches


I am sure your friend Barry could arrange to "bump" into Mr. Dom and family. It would be terrible if something befell them.


I pray that your friend Barry does the right thing.

Well, I shall inform Barry of this information.
Say - it is a coincidence that Barry was going to drive to the Adirondacks this very weekend! I hope that Dom will take a moment to himself - away from the rest of his family - for some peace and quiet about 2:15 PM.

Dom will be driving a F-250 Shelby Black Ops truck. He will be at the Dude Ranch at around 14H15.
