Yes, Brother Lukes, it makes no sense. The Chinese wife of McConnell, Elaine Chao, made certain there were highway projects in the states where a Republican Senator was in a tough race. I think she would do business with Biden. Maybe they could help a few more Democrats than Republicans but deals could be made.

Biden does not seem to understand, and I'm glad he doesn't, that the Sec. of Trans. is his ticket to a 2nd term. When Biden didn't select a pol to this job I knew we Republicans would be back in the President's chair in four years.

I must say, dear Brother Mayor Hold, that this is a great concern of mine, too. Our beloved President Trump worked so hard at rescuing from all of that sinful, permissive, same-sex stuff that was encouraged during the Obummer years. And, now, we could very easily see President Trump's mighty, righteous work dismantled by those deviant Demonrats.

Transportation and other federal departments are really only there to provide a backdrop for fresh-faced party influencers and for filling out self-imposed diversity quotas (feeel the virtue). Who can forget the memorable tenure of Herman Cain at HUD. Pete's will simply move into new leadership positions every 1-2 years as long as stays sufficiently devoid of ideas and doesn't make the news with outlandish expenses on taxpayer dime.
