Church Closes in Gulfport, FL. Why?

Gulfport, Florida, has 12,000 some people. It is located in a larger metropolitan area. A Presbyterian church had been there for 75 years. A growing and vibrant community, why would a church be forced to close?

It has to be because God is angry the City Library in Gulfport publicizes its collection of homer reading material. Anyone can walk in and look for books by Satan. Even though the remaining members of the little church were old and frail, they could have marched over to their library and pulled those books off the shelf and put them in a trash can. But they chose to let Satan have his way. Goodbye to their church.

I'm at the senior center regularly here in Freehold and know how old people think. They would say, "I'm too old to throw library books out. Younger people need to do that kind of thing."

If you can stand in a walker and reach a lower shelf or if you can just curse a homer book you can help in the war against homerism.

Satan is real. Satan wrote those sermons. Satan closed the church; everyone endorsing his plan works for the same monster. Satan.

There's not much that distinguishes Presbyterians from your generic Protestants. Founded in Scotland, they like to sit around and talk about the reformation while eating Haggis. Any kind of activism on behalf of Jesus is beyond their capabilities.

The thought of inserting Chick tracts in those homer books, or even organizing a festive book burning served with smores just wouldn't occur to them.

Is there something called Orthodox Presbyterians? A bit like Strict & Particular Baptists, only Presbyterian. They prefer things to run along without modern innovations like musical instruments or sitting down during sermons but not like the Amish who are heretics.

I hear a lot of media types refer to "mass" or having once had "a priest" sounding very much like Romish heretics. Having given up on God and hosting chat shows instead (if not worse!) or appearing in "sitcoms" (supposedly comedy but I thought they were soap operas until one of them won a comedy award, certainly nothing funny about watching people you've spent your entire life avoiding doing exactly the things causing you to avoid them in the first place) but sad.

To what extent has Rome influenced this falling away and laws?
