Mayor Harold McQuaker of Emo in the Canadian Province of Ontario decided he had had enough of woke. When the Providence declared pride week, every city and town was to get on board. Mayor McQuaker said not me. A couple of local homers wanted a city proclamation. The Mayor said no way. Now he has been fined $5,000 and refuses to pay it. Local homers are trying to garnish his bank account. If I weren't so busy here in Freehold I would go up there and help that good Mayor.

The decision stems from a legal case initiated by . . R E D A C T E D . . which accused the township of discrimination for voting against an official pride month proclamation in 2020. The tribunal's ruling, delivered on Nov. 20, penalized McQuaker personally with a CA$5,000 fine and required him to undergo Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training. Additionally, the township itself was fined CA$10,000 . . .

They seem able to read something, at least enough to sign a legal document, yet can't understand that an elected person has to do as required by those who elected him? Let's say that Mayor Harold had run on a platform of sealing all Emo's roads with concrete. Wins. Everyone chips in the money and then he says, “Ha ha! Instead of concrete roads you're getting a gold plated mayoral Bugatti with the diamond encrustation upgrade.”

“Oh! noes!!” the denizens reply. “Sounds awful – maybe in Monaco or Dubai, but here? We're so embarrassed.”

“Don't worry,” he says. “You won't have to look at it: the new mayor's office is in Abu Dhabi and I'm departing there to collect it now. (On your behalf.)”

The denizens are unhappy. They blow up the airport so he can't go anywhere and contact Bugatti to change the delivery address. But remember: they can read – evidently not The Bible but the next move is entirely secular: THEY SUE THE MAYOR FOR NOT DOING WHAT HE WAS ELECTED TO DO.

In the present case, if his policy has popular support he's pretty much obliged to carry it out. Then he (and the whole town) will be sued by some third party. But if he doesn't do that, he'll be sued by the second party (the denizens) who elected him to implement just what they decided was in their best interests.

Communism is the most comprehensive lose/lose system yet devised, besting even outright anarchies, a system having no place in the wonderful world God created for us to live in, just the way He tells us to live, even in Canada.
