  • Baptist Baylor Goes Homer

If any of us underestimated Satan, now is the time to stop. One of our own Baptist universities, Baylor, has accepted money from a homer promoting group. The purpose of the money is to tell people homerism is not sin. How can this be?

Baylor is a Baptist university. Baptist means baptized in the name of Jesus. It is bad enough that secular universities have homer support groups. Even worse is homerism approved by Baptist Baylor.

Well, we all know that Satan has his ways of infiltrating and influencing even the most dedicated people, dear Brother Mayor Hold. But, for the Baylor Baptists to accept the offer of money is akin to blasphemy. They could have called upon the Holy Ghost to help them in their hour of temptation! What would have done when tempted by Satan to throw self off a cliff? The would have stood tall and strong in the face of great danger, and He would have resisted any temptation that was thrown way. But, it is obvious that the Baylors have more interest in money than in serving the . They would do well to open their and see what Almighty has to say about the matter!

I Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

I must say, if this trend continues, it would not surprise me if Baylor will soon be redesigning their entrance-ways to look like this!

Let's say Methodists had never questioned The Virgin Birth and remained true. Say if I were a Methodist and they came up with some nonsense, I'd just leave and go somewhere else. Perhaps one day they let in the gays? No more need for them to announce how they liked doing "it" than for anyone else. Does Mrs Trevithick publish her husband's proclivities or he the dumplings he prefers?

No. And they don't get reject fabric to sew in garish designs advertising those dumplings. Let's say Trevithick dies in an explosion—not unexpected among Cornishmen—and Mrs hooks up with Mrs (his assistant, also now deceased) sell one house share the other quite sensible really. But alerting everyone with flashing LED fabrics? Whooping & hollering: “Whoo! Whooo!! Look at us!!?”

Not. Theirs is an association wrought in pain, and with Cornwall exporting miners and boilermakers to the colonies (not to mention pirates who were already there under their own steam) what hope otherwise did Mrs Trevithick have? Satan exploits losses for his own purposes. Now it seems they're identical with those of the Methodists.
