Same-sex marriages performed in other states and countries became legal in the District of Columbia at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, when Congress completed its 30 legislative day review of a marriage recognition law passed by the D.C. City Council in May.

The above quote literally states that they WON'T be able to receive ANY of the more than 1,100 federal rights and benefits that come with marriage.

That's the complete opposite of what you said. That statement makes no reference to them "demanding special rights" and only proves that they are not equal at all under federal law.

They are equal. Any homosexual can marry a person of the opposite sex, just as any normal person can. What advocates of sodomarriage want is to enshrine their perversion into law with ADDITIONAL "rights" based on their sexual behavior—"rights" that have never been granted before by any society in history... ever. That is objectively wrong, profoundly wrong.

Why change something that has sustained civilization since the beginning of time? What possible motivation could inspire such a movement, except the urge to destroy what God has wrought? And who but Satan could be behind this movement?
