Me and my best friend used to have religious discussions all the time, and over time he basically decided that I was right and there was no God. But you know, he never really took religion all that seriously anyways, so he didn't think it was a big deal. Well, he told his parents about a week later, and they told him to leave until he "thought about what he'd done to himself." Now, he's living with an older friend of his who has an apartment. I feel so bad for him, almost like this is kind of my fault for convincing him. We're both seniors in high school, and he has no one to go to about this. Does anyone have any advice for him? Because I have absolutely no idea what to tell him. I am lucky enough that even though my mom is Christian, she tolerates me and my atheism. I have no idea what it's like to be in that kind of situation.
