I received a distressed email from friends back in Kansas that one of the boys in church has come out as gay.

The parents have been very upset and are looking for answers.

I am going to email them and advise the father to take his 17 year-old son into the shower with him to wash the gay away!

The boy is the exact same as he was before he came to realize he's been gay.

In fact, he's probably realized that he's been gay for a while now, but has been afraid of the reactions he would get if he came out.

He trusted his parents enough to tell them. He believed that his parents loved him unconditionally, so he put his trust in them and told them something that was very difficult for him to say. Now he is being treated as if he is some sort of unclean monster. It's quite ridiculous.

This boy is no different now than he was the day before he told his parents he was gay. He is still human like the rest of us and should be treated as such.

Also, isn't it kind of ironic that you are going to tell the father to take his son in the shower with him? What's up with that?
