  • What does the homer try to imply?

Last night I was going to a bar. Just to have a drink, so I went to a Scottish Whisky bar. It was a nice place and the atmosphere was good. I was enjoying myself a lot. The more I drank, the happier I became. After about 25 3 shots of Scotch, I started yelling about Jesus and started quoting some KJV1611 Bible parts. I got the attention of one man in particulair. He told me he also reads the KJV1611 Bible and wanted to share some time with me. I agreed, because he showed his KJV1611. How could I doubt a man who has a KJV1611 Bible in a Scotch bar? We talked for hours about God and Jesus, but then he asked me a question:
"If Israel would take Turkey from behind, do you think Greece would help?"

I didn't get what he said and he said he wanted to be straight since he is a homer, but I am bringing him in temptation. I was drunk sober, so told him he should try to stick to the KJV1611 and follow Jesus. Then I got thrown out left, because I was hitting people with my KJV1611 Bible the bar was closing.

But I still think of what he said:
"If Israel would take Turkey from behind, do you think Greece would help?

What do you think he meant?

No disrespect Dirk but I think your problem was you were drinking scotch. The Lord is very very clear you must drink American Honey.

    Numbers 14:8 (King James Version)
8If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.

    2 Chronicles 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land Australia.

If he had a KJV 1611, I think we have to assume he was talking about some kind of military strategy.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Yes, but he didn't mention any war related place. It's not like we were talking about Africa or something.

Brother Dirk, when I noted you were drinking scotch, my thoughts went back to Brother Levy's Travel Tips. One of those tips dealt with the subject of ice while in a strange bar.

"Question the barkeeper closely about the source of that ice. Demand that it comes freshly frozen purified water. Scottish barkeepers, for example, are notorious for just pulling ice from the nearest Loch and there's just no telling what sort of scaly creature has pooped in the water."
