Supreme Court Strikes Down Defense of Marriage Act

The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that a 1996 law denying federal benefits to legally married same-sex couples is unconstitutional, in a sign of how rapidly the national debate over gay rights has shifted.

The federal statute is invalid, for no legitimate purpose overcomes the purpose and effect to disparage and to injure those whom the State, by its marriage laws, sought to protect in personhood and dignity.By seeking to displace this protection and treating those persons as living in marriages less respected than others,the federal statute is in violation of the Fifth Amendment.

No legitimate purpose? How about protecting our right to live in a society free of anything of which we disapprove? Isn't that legitimate? In the eyes of the black-robed dictators, I guess it isn't.

That's true, dear friend, but probably not for much longer. The Supreme Court has just refused to defend Proposition 8, one of the few sensible things that the People's Republic of Commiefornicatia has done recently:

Because petitioners have not satisfied their burden to demonstrate standing to appeal the judgment of the District Court [forcing faggotry on the state], the Ninth Circuit was without jurisdiction to consider the appeal. The judgment of the Ninth Circuit is vacated, and the case is remanded with instructions to dismiss the appeal for lack of jurisdiction.

Besides, the court's reasoning in Windsor strongly suggests that it will eventually strike down all state attempts to protect heterosexuals.

When I think of all the anal sex that will be a direct result of these two evil decisions, I am filled with such a feeling of emptiness that I can barely describe it.
