You know, I kinda wonder if you posted this specifically because you knew I would have to say something.

I'm happy for her. I'm also glad that her wife stayed with her after she transitioned (that is just an educated guess).

Me, I had to think what impact transitioning from male to female would have on my kids and, to be honest, I think it's probably better for them this way. They will learn to be open minded and accepting of others.

Besides, on a more personal level, if I hadn't transitioned, I would hate them. I would probably hate everything in the world. In fact, I would probably be dead right now. No, I think my kids would rather I transition when you look at it that way.

Really, it's a curse when doing something as simple as looking in the mirror is an opportunity for your own body to mock you. It always used to feel like mine was telling me "Ha ha! You're a boy!" Now I'm telling my body I'm not a boy and I won't let my body tell me that.
