Furthermore, my job is not to have babies, but to be a lawyer. That's my place on earth.

The question arises of how anyone rejecting The Bible could discern a purpose at all? Having decided to be a lawyer one may carry on to get a law degree and buy into a partnership or whatever happens in that particular guild but if that constitutes purpose how is it different from deciding to be a cat-burglar, training up, joining the guild, creeping in houses at night and purloining rubies?

There other professions even more renowned for insalubrity she could have chosen for her place on earth and without God explaining things why should she not? After all even the bottom of a barrel is a place on earth. It may even pay well enough to buy those rubies. Left to our own devices, The Bible confirms, we would have no idea:

Isaiah 55:8-9; Matthew 15:19 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts … out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies

God is very consistent on this. Satan is consistent too, presenting at every opportunity some new way to identify with evil. And in this post my warning is against steampunk paraphernalia such items having been suggested to me as a protection for others against germs spewing out of my head (as is suggested to be the case even though it isn't) because wearing a mask is no protection for oneself, after all: contamination is by contact we're informed – in this case by a guild of physicians. Satan wants us to wear these things for a different reason, however, to lead us away from Christ.

In my last post we saw that God and the devil are both consistent, for good and evil respectively, how humans without God are only capable of evil and that face masks are being promoted deceptively. Satan can do virus at any time, therefore his purpose must be something else. Several styles have been suggested to me, all of them revolting. None of them have any medical function but rather are used to advertise proclivities which scarcely need to be described. They come in a number of designs falling under three basic categories.

Satan is doing this in full view of Jesus knowing that in the majority of cases he'll be successful. Most people will reject Christ and (in this case) get drawn into the demonic steampunk cult. It was never really about the masks. How do we know this? Certainly not from something I just made up, any fool could do that. We know that without God there is never a sound foothold in life because He has told us:

Jeremiah 31:9a-d; Matthew 7:14 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble … Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

This gentleman in San Diego County did everything right. He made sure that his wife stayed home, by selflessly going out for groceries himself. This meant that she wasn't shamed by the Godless into wearing a face-mask herself. Now that is a thoughtful husband!



And what did he get for his pains? Nothing but complaints and rage from the usual suspects.

Can you imagine the fuss they'd have made if he hadn't worn a mask???

Here is an issue about face masks that has not come up here but should be discussed. In Genesis 1:26-27 God tells us He made us in His image. Why would we dare cover up what God intended both Him and ourselves to see? That is especially true of women who God made to look beautiful.

Fortunately there is a House of Representative member in the State of Ohio who recognized this before the legislature passed a law requiring people to wear face masks. The gentleman does not want the entire State of Ohio to fall to sin.

Well, that is certainly true of some of us. I am thinking in particular of Sister Mary Etheldreda's ethereal beauty. But what about the vast majority of Godless women, some of whom are "homely" at best and most of whom are, quite frankly, hideous? There must be an argument here for permanent face-masks. Perhaps this is something that the President might consider, when he has the time.

Fortunately there is a House of Representative member in the State of Ohio who recognized this before the legislature passed a law requiring people to wear face masks. The gentleman does not want the entire State of Ohio to fall to sin.

I applaud Mr Vitale's principled stand on this matter, even if he is quite a swarthy man - perhaps some sort of Hispanic or Eyetie? He certainly has a funny foreign name, poor fellow. But we should not hold this against him.

Sister Joanna makes a valid point when mentioning that not all women are so pretty that a face mask might not be an improvement.

Speaking for myself, while the Good Lord has helped me change many of my garlic-eating ways, He has not yet permanently removed my copious (may I say luxuriant?) and dark facial hair. (Don't let my adorable avatar fool you--I have changed since then.)


It can be hard keeping up with my uni-brow, mustache and baby beard. The money spent on removal by Extremely Hairless Asian women is better spent on The Lord's Work (those women go too far and target the nearly invisible blond hairs) and those places are closed now because our Republican Governor has to keep the Democratic Hoards in the city quiet.


A mask with a sweet, lightly-lipsticked smile painted on it might make me more "attractive and pleasing" to use the good Senator Orrin Hatch's words.

As for men wearing masks, President Trump provides leadership on this. He does not wear one. According to aids, he thinks he would look ridiculous and he is running for the highest office in the world.

I like the old adage, "All the world is a stage." This is to say all of us are looked at by other people and we should prepare ourselves accordingly. Not only is the President of the United States judged by how he looks, we all are.

That being the case, both men and women should toss these masks and go forward boldly and fearlessly, "Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead."

A Bishop in the Church of England is now saying the experience of going back to church will not be "normal" until January of next year. It does not apply to Landover Baptist which is holding regular "no mask" services every Sunday. Today, Pastor Zeke's Mother's Day sermon was especially forceful. He preached on the sins of mothers and how much they need to improve themselves because of Ev's original sin.

I can tell Pastor Zeke enjoys seeing the beautiful women of Landover Baptist. He would have some difficulty of all of them wore masks.

No doubt other men who pastor churches feel the same way about women who wear masks. They cannot ask the women in their congregations to remove their masks until after the service but privately wish they could do so.

A Bishop in the Church of England is now saying the experience of going back to church will not be "normal" until January of next year.

I don't expect anyone will miss it. Less than 1.5% of the English population goes to the Church of England regularly, so the experience is hardly "normal".

This should come as no surprise, by the way. The bishop who said that is a dame - Bishop Dame Sarah Mullally. And she doesn't even wear a face mask to hide the fact.
