    Corona: a triple blinded study

Scientists always talk about studies where the patients don't know what drug they're getting and the nurses administering the drug also don't know what they're giving. So-called double blinded. Unfortunately it takes too long and is very expensive if you have a lot of candidates.

It's time to bring out the triple threat. Not only do the patients and nurses not know what they're doing, but neither do those leading the study. And we have some very interesting ideas to work with - vote to see which gets federal funding.

Re: Corona: a triple blinded study

Sorry, but I think you are forgetting some possible options here:

    1) A bullet can kill the Chinese Virus in a Petri Dish. This has been proven by science. The only challenge now is how to introduce a bullet in your lungs without hurting much tissue.

    2) Napalm was an effective way to erradicate communism in the past, and now it should be an effective way to kill a communist virus. A napalm bomb small enough to go into your veins and kill the virus should not be so difficult to make.

    3) Russian roulette is another possible choice to kill the virus. But this has to have further investigation, as can lead to some nasty democrats claiming ties between Putin and Donald.

I think napalm is the best choice at hand. What do you have to lose if it doesn´t work?

Mr. Gonzales, yes that's the spirit - True Christian ingenuity will solve this while Science sits on its Uranus or whatever they want to call it. The most important thing is that Americans have choice whether they inject bleach in their lungs, smoke napalm (as you suggested) or ignore all the goddamn fuss.

Wearing a mask is a choice. If Americans choose to forgo your safety by not wearing a mask then by Golly that is their God-given right. It makes me mad that women in this country are free to queue up to get an abortion but only as long as they wear a face mask - isn't that just a perfect example of liberal contradiction?

Re: Corona: a triple blinded study

I've been thinking about passing along an idea to the Trump people.

Suppose, first, the President is outfitted with a tailor made white lab jacket with his name sewed on the pocket. Then he shows the world a petri dish, magnified and projected onto a screen of course, swarming with germs.

He holds up a bottle of Clorox, removes the lid and pours some into the petri dish. Bam. Camera shows the germs are dead.

I think that would end the talk that this is a bad idea. Harlot Nancy Pillowsee has been mocking the President, this would put her in her place.

He would be heralded as the man of ideas which truly he is.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I know you won't think I'm offering advice when I mention my surprise at seeing a SF bag lady on that page.

Then I noticed the caption and saw that she'd cracked a few "jokes" farther down which I must say was in very poor taste, on her part.

A warning would have prevented me from spilling my coffee, admittedly due to my nervous disposition, for which my apologies. I don't suppose they actually have got a body double in have they? As I say, rather startling, especially when The President is doing so much.

I remember Betty Ford and her simple advice.

Pelosi (if that really was her, in most pictures she was hiding her face) would do well to channel a conservative president's wife.

I won't mention the hair. Ew!

It is a free country as far as I know. Your neighbor can choose wether respect social distancing or not, and you can choose to shoot him if he gets too close to you. No need for lockdowns of any kind.

Re: Corona: a triple blinded study

Two pieces of news today: first the Good News. The President has confirmed the efficacy of Clorox, saying that after a mere two weeks of administering this drug, he has now tested positively for the Corvid disease. By positively, he means positively negative rather than negatively positive.

The second piece of news is more negatively positive: a trial has begun to "test" whether this drug works.

Chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine or a placebo will be given to more than 40,000 healthcare workers from Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.

All the participants are staff who are in contact with Covid-19 patients.
I really can't be the only person who is questioning the need for such expensive trials. when the President has already proved the efficacy of the treatment in people who never had the Corvidity in the first place. But I make no claim to any "scientific" knowledge and rely on prayer, my dear husband Matthew, and the President (in that order) for my understanding.

President Trump's experiment is really big--bigger than the "blind trials" etc. When the world sees a healthy Donald Trump it will not only bring naysayers to his side but it will establish Christian Medicine as a legitimate academic discipline worthy of the highest respect. Look for Ph. D's and medical schools that carry the title Christian Medicine.

Let me assure you, Mrs Lytton-Vasey, there are many in the medical profession that object to these large-scale trials. Up to half of the participants will receive nothing at all! Placebo is the fancy name for that scam. It obviously won't do anything. The best course is to do something and do it with great confidence. Make lesser minds bend to your will, now THAT is how you solve problems.

Thank you for your helpful professional input, Dr Toole. It does seem quite silly. If they are going to give people placebos (is that right - should I say placebi?) then they are just wasting everyone's time and - more importantly in the case of the pharma companies - money.

If they really feel the need to "test" this stuff, why not just put it in the water or something?

Ridiculous "science" stuff keeps rolling in. Just now some international science group says it found that when people take President Trump's miracle drug there is an almost 40% higher chance of death. What good is that "information?"

What's useful and important is that the President is taking it and he is fine. Case closed.

Death from what, though? Not from the Covidity, is my guess.

Oxford University (the one in England, not the one in Mississippi) has conducted a useful survey into British people's attitudes to this so-called virus. It reveals something or other, though I'm not sure exactly what.

From May 4 to 11, 2,500 adults, representative of the English population for age, gender, region, and income, took part in the Oxford Coronavirus Explanations, Attitudes, and Narratives Survey (OCEANS).
                        The findings indicated that:

60% of adults believe to some extent that the government is misleading the public about the cause of the virus

40% believe to some extent the spread of the virus is a deliberate attempt by powerful people to gain control

20% believe to some extent that the virus is a hoax
I don't quite understand the concept of believing "to some extent". Either you believe or you don't. I suppose this is some secular science thing? John 20:29 tells us blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. There is no mention of "to some extent".

Those are beautiful round numbers for a poll. It almost makes one wonder if they asked 10 people who each contributed 10%. Suitable types of course - Oxford credentials and all the right handshakes - a rarified poll of 10 students from the Oxford PPE program or the debate society. That would explain the perfect symmetry of the numbers and the correctness of the answers.
